Many of us know Kendall Jenner has become a real superstar of the Fashion World. She started her modeling career at 14 signing with Wilhelmina Models. Since then her rise to stardom has been nothing short of meteoric in print and runway as well as in Social Media Modeling.
She’s has appeared in numerous Fashion Magazines including: Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Marie Claire, LOVE’s Magazine as the “It Girl”, Little Black Primer mascara and Modern Muse Le Rouge fragrance campaigns, and was also featured in a Fendi campaign.
Starting in 2014, the year she truly became a superstar, Kendall seemed to be everywhere. The Fashion shows of Spring 2014 she walked for Marc Jacobs in New York, Giles Deacon in London and both Givenchy and Chanel in Paris. Givnechy was so impressed with Ms Jenner she was signed to one of their campaigns. In July 2014, Karl Lagerfeld personally picked Kendall to walk the Chanel Fashion Show in Paris.
New York Fashion week Fall 2014 saw her walk numerous shows including Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger and Marc Jacobs. She appeared in Milan for Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Pucci and Ports 1961; in Paris for Givency, Chanel, Balmain and Sonia Rykiel.
2015 has been another banner year for Kendall. In January, she was the sole feature for the Marc Jacobs’s spring campaign as well as being part in one of Lagerfeld’s. Jenner signed to become the new face of Calvin Klein jeans in March . And in May, Jenner was announced as the new face of Penshoppe and was featured for Karl Lagerfeld eyewear. Fendi chose her to be the feature in their April 2015 campaign. By July, Balmain was showcasing both Kendall and her sister Kylie along the likes of Gigi & Bella Hadid and Joan & Erika Smalls.
There doesn’t seem anyone she hasn’t walked for during the numerous Fashion Weeks she has been involved in. To name some of the numerous top designers: Sherri Hill during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Chanel Haute Couture, Alexander Wang, Diane Von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs during the Autumn/Winter 2015 Fashion Week in New York; Giles Deacon, Oscar de la Renta in London, Fendi, Ports 1961, Bottega Veneta, Pucci, and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan; Sonia Rykiel,Balmain, Givenchy, Chanel in Paris.
Jenner is so highly sough after, she has two colors (All Kendall-ed up and Kendall on the Katwalk) in the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors nail collection. She along with her sister Kylie started a jewelry line called “the Metal Haven by Kendall & Kylie Jewelry Collection” in collaboration with Pascal Mouawad’s Glamhouse. The sisters also launched a shoe and handbag collection in 2014 for the Madden Girl line available only at Nordstrom’s. By February of 2015, there was even a clothing line called “Kendall & Kylie” for the British multinational fashion retailer Topshop.
With the rise of the emerging fashion movement “Social Media Modeling” dubbed by Harper’s Bazaar, Kendall quickly was at the top of the social media model movement becoming one of its hottest stars. When Estée Lauder announced she was their global face for their company, the Instagram account of the company gained 50,000 new followers in just 3 days. She has been ranked number 1 in the world for models on both Facebook and Instagram and number 2 on Twitter. She is the second most Googled model in the world only behind Tyra Banks ending in December, 2014.
