XALA is set to redefine luxury and sustainability as a $1 billion low-density travel destination along the pristine Costalegre coastline. Spanning 3,000 acres, this eagerly awaited property is just a short 30-minute private flight from Puerto Vallarta. Positioned to become a groundbreaking force in regenerative development and travel, XALA aims to achieve the distinction of being the lowest-density development ever undertaken in Mexico.

A Blueprint for the Future of Regenerative Development & Travel

Scheduled to open in 2026, Xala is set to feature 75 exclusive private residences known as the Rancho Estates, crafted by globally acclaimed architects. The initial cost for the expansive six-acre plots, each boasting 197 linear feet of pristine beachfront and lush mango orchards, is set at $5.5 million, excluding home construction costs. Currently, nearly half of these lots are already reserved. Additionally, the development will offer 25 luxurious branded hotel residences from Six Senses, each spanning at least 8,000 square feet, alongside a 51-villa Six Senses hotel.

The charm of Xala lies in its profound dedication to honoring the existing communities, preserving the natural environment, and respecting the untouched elements of the region. Despite encompassing 3,000 acres, less than 20% is earmarked for development. The team behind Xala is committed to rejuvenating nearly 590 acres of this land, establishing over 1,200 acres as a private conservation area that includes five miles of beaches designated as turtle sanctuaries. Furthermore, they are spearheading efforts to restore and enhance the Chalacatepec and Xola-Paraman estuaries, wetlands that are under UNESCO protection for their critical importance to migratory birds.

Xala, which has been in development for over fifteen years, is the creation of Ricardo Santa Cruz and Jerónimo Bremer. This duo is renowned for their work on Mandarina (Riviera Nayarit), where the One&Only Mandarina is located, recently acclaimed as the #1 hotel in North America by The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023 global rankings. The project also enjoys the support of American actor and producer Richard Gere, whose dedication to humanitarian efforts aligns perfectly with the vision and objectives of Xala.
