This weekend in Miami IVY (ivy.com/about) wrapped up a week of Art Basel 2016 celebrations with a fete for visual artist Bradley Theodore and the release of his first limited edition prints at the Nobu Eden Roc.
Often described as “the Jean-Michel Basquiat meets Banksy” due to his unique and notable style, Bradley Theodore is best known for his works featuring colorful, skeletal paintings of fashion and pop culture icons such as Anna Wintourand Karl Lagerfeld, garnering fans around the world.
Four hundred young art collectors and enthusiasts, industry VIPs and celebs, including model Joy Corrigan, visual artist and model Beau Dunn, Taste The Style’s Cyndi Ramirez, Vesta Lugg, and stylist Lauren Rae Levy, chatted up Theodore and IVY Co-Founders Beri Meric and Philipp Triebel, and enjoyed the opportunity to purchase the artist’s prints, otherwise only available to existing owners of his works. The private cocktail party was sponsored by Moet & Chandon, EFFEN Vodka and Aspire Eyewear.
Earlier in the week, IVY kicked off Art Basel 2016 at The Nautilus with an IVY Artist Talk with Zhou Yinghua aka Michael Chow of MR CHOW fame, an in-depth discussion moderated by Bonnie Clearwater, Director and Chief Curator of the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.
