This year’s Pride arrives amid heightened political tension over LGBTQ+ rights across the state, and in response, Miami Beach is making a clear and lasting statement. Directly across from the Palace in Lummus Park, the City of Miami Beach will unveil the restored LGBTQIA+ rainbow crosswalk installation on Friday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m., transforming what was once removed under statewide directives into a permanent and highly visible symbol of progress, preservation, and unity. The installation, which incorporates salvaged elements from the original crosswalk first introduced in 2009, now stands as a reaffirmation of the city’s commitment to honoring LGBTQ+ history and ensuring that its legacy remains embedded within the fabric of Miami Beach.

During Miami Beach Pride Week, from April 8 through April 12, Palace becomes one of the most dynamic destinations in the city, hosting a full slate of programming that reflects both the scale and spirit of Pride. Highlights include the Miami Beach Pride Pageant on April 8, featuring the crowning of Mr. and Miss Miami Beach Pride and last year’s winners – Akasha O’Hara Lords and Oskar G; the Haus of Gucci Ball on April 10, a high-fashion ballroom event blending nightlife, performance, and avant-garde expression; and a full weekend takeover from April 10 through April 12 with continuous brunches, rooftop activations, world-class DJs Oscar Velasquez and Jrny, and performances that bring together locals, visitors, and global LGBTQ+ talent. The weekend culminates on Sunday, April 12, with a major closing celebration featuring DJ Dani Brasil alongside special appearances by RuPaul’s Drag Race stars, including Jimbo and Trinity the Tuck.
