Argentine singer, songwriter and FADER-deemed “dexterous shape-shifting MC” Nicki Nicole unleashed her first musical offering of 2023, “NO voy a llorar :’)” a personal and mature new track from her next chapter that reaffirms the strength of Nicki Nicole’s force.
The mesmerizing 22-year-old Harper’s Bazaar-cosigned “musical powerhouse” won’t be shedding any tears.
The song is accompanied by an official music video, directed by Lucas Vignale, which sees a sensitive, reflective and mature Nicki Nicole, affirming her inner voice underneath the water in a bathtub and reemerging with complete confidence to take on what’s next in her life and musically – watch HERE!
Closing out the year gracing the magazine covers of Galore, who noted the name she’s “quickly making” “in the world of trap, reggaeton, and hip-hop,” and Metal’s Acero; and “constantly flying around the world, playing enormous shows for [her] ever-growing audiences,” as Rolling Stone recounts in print, Nicki just wrapped her first headline tour in Mexico, following recent North America festival performances at Coachella, This Ain’t No Picnic and Baja Beach.
“NO voy a llorar :’)” follows Nicki Nicole’s closing night performance at the annual Vina del Mar Festival in Chile where she won the iconic Seagull award and was cheered by the Viña crowd monster.
Nicki is set to perform at the Isle of Light Music Festival in March which Remezcla named her one of the “stand out acts”. She’s also making an appearance at Festival Cruïlla in Barcelona.
Nicki released explosive collaborations in 2022 with artists spanning the genre from Camilo, Eladio Carrión, Christina Aguilera (garnering her 4 Latin Grammys nominations), Emilia and Los Ángeles Azules.
She debuted her breakthrough album Parte De Mí in a powerful NPR “Tiny Desk (Home) Concert” last fall; it is one of the most streamed on the channel with more than 18 million streams. Check out other explosive performances, Live on KEXP filmed in Argentina, and “Nobody Like Yo” performed for Genius ‘Open Mic’.
Nicki Nicole has established herself as a dominating force in music with an explosive fan base and over 13.9 Million Instagram followers (@nicki.nicole) since the 22-year-old Argentine singer, songwriter, and rapper “broke into the music scene,” Rolling Stone recalls “when her 2019 track “Wapo Traketero” became a hit and showcased her gritty, darkly hued R&B sound to the world.”
“The star defying Argentinian rap’s macho culture,” and “challenging gender stereotypes and machismo” highlighted by The Guardian, and Vogue, respectively, showcased her last project, ‘Parte De Mi,’ as the first Argentine artist to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and as a breakout artist at 2022 Coachella.
The last album highlights the Latin Grammy nominee’s genre-dexterity on “Sabe” with Rauw Alejandro, “Pensamos” with Mon Laferte, “Toa La Vida,” “Baby,” and the title-track “Parte De Mi”. Her viral remix for Rochy RD’s “Ella No Es Tuya” was featured on President Obama’s “2021 Summer Playlist” and Harper’s Bazaar named her a “musical powerhouse in the making.”
