Maison Margiela has released its Fall/Winter 2025 campaign, and it features a very special guest: 麦莉-赛勒斯. This is a big deal for the brand as it’s the first time ever a celebrity has fronted a Maison Margiela campaign.
Founded in 1988, Maison Margiela was built on anonymity and obscurity. Founder Martin Margiela never did interviews, and the design team was never named to emphasize collective creativity over individual fame. For nearly 40 years, that was the philosophy of the brand. Now by having a celebrity ambassador Margiela is entering a new era – while staying true to its avant-garde roots.

麦莉-赛勒斯, a global superstar singer, songwriter, and actress, is known for her artistic reinventions. In this campaign, she’s almost unrecognizable in high contrast images shot by Paolo Roversi. Cyrus is painted white and wearing the FW25 collection.
Despite having a celebrity, the campaign still maintains Margiela’s anonymity. Cyrus’ face is partially obscured with lighting, paint, and clothing, the images look like Renaissance 艺术. Cyrus said:
“Standing naked for a 时装 campaign felt major; all I wore was body paint and the signature painted Tabi boots. In that moment, Margiela and I became one.”
