Which Watches Are Celebrities Wearing, and Who Owns the Priciest Watch?
A study by Watch Pilot has revealed the most expensive celebrity watches, the watches and stars inspiring the most Google searches, and the brands and models most loved by celebrities.
Surprisingly, no female celebrities made the top 10, however, four big names did rank in the top 33 for their expensive timepieces:

- Ellen Degeneres owns the most expensive out of the other female celebrities on the list, with her $750,903 Rolex. The Rolex Dayton ‘John Player’ special was the most expensive watch owned by any female celebrity at the time of research.
- Kylie Jenner ranked 22nd on our list, with her $450,075 Patek Philippe. Despite her ‘self-made’ fortune, the reality star and beauty mogul missed out on the top spot by a considerable margin, although her Patek Philippe Nautilus 5719/10G in White Gold is worth a pretty penny.

- Floyd Mayweather is officially the owner of the priciest celebrity timepiece, a Jacob & Co. Billionaire Tourbillon with White Diamonds that costs US$24,449,395. The diamond-encrusted timepiece is exceptionally extravagant and is cut with 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds, which are set in an inverted pyramid style.
- Late actor Paul Newman came in second place for his eponymous “Paul Newman” Rolex Daytona, worth US$21,031,733. Newman’s own Daytona was a gift from his wife, actress Joanne Woodward, and has long been considered the holy grail among watch collectors.
- Completing the top three is Brad Pitt with his Patek Philippe 5016A which is valued at US$11,543,490. The rare Patek Philippe was purchased by Brad in 2015 and was reportedly the highest price ever paid for a wristwatch at an auction at the time.
Tim Harrison, watch expert and co-founder at Watch Pilot shares his three tips to scope out luxurious pieces worn by celebrities at an affordable price:
1. Scope out the dupes: A million-pound watch simply isn’t a practical, or realistic investment for many. However, there are considerably affordable alternatives out there from reputable brands that will provide the look and feel of some of the most expensive watches in the world, without the celebrity price tag.
2. Check out resale websites: If you are looking for nothing less than the real deal, there are plenty of resale websites where sellers list iconic watches at unmissable prices. With many sellers offering the original box and papers to go with the piece, grabbing an authentic watch for a fraction of the price is a no-brainer for many jewelry lovers.
3. Keep an eye out for deals: If second-hand watches aren’t your thing, keep an eye on premium watch sellers like Watch Pilot.
