The song is produced by a knockout combo of Scratch, Mason Beats, and Jerry Wexler, who lace Leo up with a speaker-rattling banger that samples the legendary Aretha Franklin. Originally teased in early June, “PRAYER” has already built massive anticipation online. Two TikTok snippets of the track have racked up over 1.3M views, with fans flooding the comments demanding its official release. Now, the wait is finally over.
The single arrives as Leo’s latest move in a breakout year that has seen him dominate social media, deliver high-energy performances, and cement his reputation as one of UK rap’s brightest young stars. Known for his signature blend of drill-influenced flows and infectious hooks, Leo is once again set to give fans a track they’ll have on repeat.
The two-time MOBO Award nominee’s Home Alone EP, which was released earlier this year, showcased his versatility and charisma, with standout tracks like “Hands on Knees” featuring K-Trap and “Crazy Love” gaining millions of streams. His viral reach has only continued to expand, with fans creating thousands of TikTok videos to his music and his online following climbing past the million mark.

More on LeoStayTrill here:
Born in London to Zimbabwean parents and raised in South London, at first his parents didn’t quite get it. But after seeing him performing to huge crowds while still in primary school, it wasn’t long before they understood he was a natural. “Now they’re fully on board,” he smiles.
Leo taught himself how to produce and started collaborating and creating musica as soon as he could. And it was his symbiotic collaboration with producer Xeretto since 2019 (when they were 12 or 13) that he credits with bringing his trademark sonics to life in a new way: “‘Honeybun’ came from that and then ‘Pink Lemonade’ as well, so I don’t feel like I need to go elsewhere to get something that we created.”
Understandably so, when the recipe has already proved so successful. Coining a contagious blend of UK rap’s best bits, his sound has set him apart from the pack on the international stage already. Pairing the fast-paced percussive vocal delivery of drill with the earworm lightness of afro swing melodies. The innate rhythmic flair of African melodies and the effortless charisma and lingua franca of London’s cultural melting pot.
