For Immediate Release September 2, 2026 ” – Fresh from a busy summer across Europe, London-based, Australian-born producer, songwriter and DJ HAAi returns with the brand new single “I Wanna Feel Like Someone” feat. James Massiah, the latest preview of her forthcoming album DIGITiSE, out October 9 via Mute.
The release arrives as HAAi prepares to bring DIGITiSE stateside this October, with iii Points Miami on October 17, before continuing into the night at the festival’s official Satellite afterparty at The Ground at Club Space, followed by a 10-hour marathon album celebration at Refuge in New York City on October 18, where she’ll play from 4 PM straight through to 2 AM. Details of a very special San Francisco appearance will also be revealed soon.
More than simply an album release party, the Refuge marathon gets directly to the DNA of DIGITiSE. Written between HAAi’s marathon DJ sets, road-tested in clubs and shaped by the response of people in the room, the album was built ON the dancefloor rather than simply made for it.
“I’m so excited to return to North America this October for a run of super fun dates. I’m preparing for my 10-hour set at Refuge in support of my new album DIGITiSE. Following my last NYC set at Public Records, which was eight hours, I decided to switch into another gear and give myself an extra two hours to really explore my collection. Playing long sets is how I came up as a DJ, so 10 hours really feels like my comfort zone. I can’t wait to get stuck in.” — HAAi
“I Wanna Feel Like Someone” shifts the focus squarely back to those peak-time moments that helped inspire the album. HAAi explains, “‘I Wanna Feel Like Someone’ is a track that is purely made from memories of my sets over the years. It’s a nod to so much of the music I play and have played, and was a really fun track to make for the dancefloor.”

James Massiah, talking about the collaboration, said, “Love working with HAAi, always grateful when an artist I respect finds a new way to present my voice.” Massiah, who also collaborated on HAAi’s previous album HUMANiSE, is one of several artists who expand the community at the heart of DIGITiSE. HAAi adds, “James Massiah’s vocals are an important anchor in the song and give it a moment to breathe in amongst the textural heaviness.”
DIGITiSE follows HAAi’s acclaimed 2025 album HUMANiSE, a pivotal record that saw her step further beyond the DJ booth and into the foreground as a singer and songwriter, placing her own voice and vulnerability at the heart of the music. For HAAi, “using my own voice felt like the most human thing I could do for the story of the album.”
With DIGITiSE, HAAi takes that emotional core back to the club. Originally planned to extend the world of HUMANiSE, the new music quickly developed its own heartbeat and evolved into a standalone album. Describing it as HUMANiSE’s “bigger, ravey sibling,” HAAi explains that “DIGITiSE holds the hand of HUMANiSE and walks it to the club.”
Previous single “Ignition” feat. Economist brought HAAi’s personal story into that space, documenting her coming-of-age as a queer kid in a small town, desperate to leave and ultimately finding freedom and community on the dancefloor. Now “I Wanna Feel Like Someone” turns toward the peak-time moments she remembers from years behind the decks. “It pushes the elements that I love most in dance music, bass and frequency, and ties it together with Motorik rhythms,” she explains.
At the center of both records is community. For HAAi, the dancefloor remains one of the increasingly rare places where people can come together in real life, across identities and backgrounds, to feel connection, freedom and belonging. As a queer artist, she has consistently championed inclusive spaces and diverse dancefloors, something that remains central to DIGITiSE.
The album continues to explore what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world. As the pace of AI and technology accelerates, one antidote for HAAi has always been to gather people in a room or on a dancefloor to feel community and unity. DIGITiSE opens itself fully to that spirit, through its collaborators, who represent different voices in dance music, Echonomist, Skybreak and Cantoalegre, a children’s choir from Medellín, Colombia, alongside Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah and Kaiden Ford — as well as its visual world led by Martin Falck (Fever Ray / The Knife / Icona Pop), a playful and camp counterbalance to the dystopia of HUMANiSE.
It’s that spirit that makes the 10-hour Refuge set such a natural album celebration: the time and space to move across genres and tempos, build a room over the course of a night, and create the kind of shared experience that sits at the very center of DIGITiSE.
HAAi heads into the October dates following a busy summer across Europe, including World Pride Amsterdam, Sziget e Maiden Voyage in London, where she opened the vault for her first-ever 100% HAAi production set, alongside Ibiza dates and B2Bs with the likes of DJ Tennis, DJ Seinfeld and Sally C.
DIGITiSE also includes “Talking Walls” feat. Skybreak and Cantoalegre, a sonic journey through sounds and influences HAAi has discovered through her DJ sets. The track creates another thread between the two records through its use of choir, with HAAi describing it simply as, “It’s one to hug your mates to at the festival.”
DIGITiSE picks up where HUMANiSE left off quite literally: the final track of HUMANiSE fades out with the choir, which picks up again on the opening of DIGITiSE before taking us back to the dancefloor.
“DIGITiSE was created with intention: I wanted to make music I could play when I DJ. I wanted it to sonically spread across multiple lanes in the way I would play an all-night-long set.” — HAAi
DIGITiSE is released by Mute on October 9, 2026, on vinyl, CD, and digitally

Editor’s Notes
HAAi
HUMANiSE – one of Rough Trade, Disco Pogo and Resident’s Albums of the Year 2025 – was described by The Quietus as “transcendent” and by DJ Magazine as “…organic and synthetic sounds working in beautiful unison”. The album includes the singles ‘Satellite‘ (feat. Jon Hopkins & Obi Franky & ILĀ & TRANS VOICES), ‘Can’t Stand To Lose’, and ‘Stitches’, all A-listed by BBC Radio 6 Music, plus the 6 Music B-listed ‘Hey!, and her collaboration with KAM-BU, ‘Shapeshift’, which was performed on Later… with Jools Holland.
An accompanying film, HUMANiSE (live album performance, from Drumsheds), by New Vision Originals captured a performance that unfolded inside a meticulously crafted installation of a ‘90s office: a time capsule lined with ring binders, Rolodexes, fax machines, reams of A4 paper, and landline telephones – reimagined within the cavernous shell of London’s Drumsheds. The set becomes a surreal workplace with HAAi bringing the conceptual world of the album to life alongside album collaborators Jon Hopkins, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Obi Franky, KAM-BU, TRANS VOICES, and the poet Kaiden Ford. Watch the film Qui. She also popped into the DJ Magazine studios to DJ an hour of bangers. Watch the performance QUI.
Outside of her own productions, HAAi is known for her dynamic, tempo-shifting DJ sets. Recent DJ sets include Coachella, Movement, Glastonbury (her Glastonbury B2B with Romy that went out on BBC Radio 1 featured the premiere of Romy’s remix of ‘Stitches’), Body Movements. 2025 saw her helming UNiSON, her community-focussed night in London that she founded in 2024, as well as dropping in on Glamcult TV to record this intimate version of ‘Can’t Stand To Lose’. Recent remixes have included Fred again.., Kylie Minogue e Nina Simone.
In 2023 she released her acclaimed DJ-Kicks compilation, which RA described as “a thrillingly eclectic journey through sound, where industrial beats meet warm melodies with finesse.” The compilation – which includes a new version of her collaboration with Jon Hopkins titled ‘Always Ascending’ – came soon after her debut album, Baby, We’re Ascending, which opened up her boundary pushing blend of psychedelia, techno and powerful beats to new avenues, prompting the likes of Dazed to say, “[HAAi] transcends to new planes of existence on her full-length debut” and NME to praise her “high-flying, vibrant electronic wonderland”. 2023 also saw the release of ‘Lights Out’, her collaboration with Fred again.. and Romy; a single that solidified HAAi’s place at the forefront of electronic music.
Pat Alvarez is a producer and songwriter who has been writing and producing since he was a teenager in Buenos Aires, before going on to study Music Production and Audio Engineering at Tecson (BA) and Berklee College of Music Online.
His writing and production portfolio includes The Blessed Madonna, Rose Gray, HAAi, Jelani Blackman, Uffie, Jon Hopkins, Adiel, Alexis Taylor and Mette. With multi-instrumentalist skills that sit alongside his production abilities in dance music, his portfolio also extends to pop, hip hop, alternative rock and experimental music. He is one half of the duo ‘Solid Wall’ alongside Lucas Vedel.
Greek maestro Echonomist (real name Petros Manganaris) was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, a hub for electronic music in the Mediterranean nation. His prolific output – as a producer, DJ, solo artist, and collaborator – has seen him releasing albums with his band (gaining considerable fame in the Greek electronic music scene), performing as a sought-after DJ, and releasing his solo project on labels such as Resopal, Upon You Records, Time Has Changed, and Dessous Recordings.
At the heart of his love for electronic music is drum’n’bass, and he finds joy in pads and chords, transcendent atmospheres, waves of cosmic, interstellar synth work, and music that transports you into different realms.

“An expansive producer with a songwriter’s unerring sense of timing, a DJ’s intuition, and a psychonaut’s willingness to plunge ever deeper, on new record HUMANiSE, HAAi is looking to the things that can’t be synthesised; the record is a celebration of found family, and the connections found in person on the dancefloor.” – The Quietus
