OTR teams up with globe-trotting artist, DJ and fashion icon Uffie on “Looking Down From Space.” Co-written with Lara Andersson (Alan Walker, Little Mix, Tayla Parx) and with Uffie on vocals, the track pulses with joy and celebrates the transformative qualities of music. OTR wrote and produced “Looking Down From Space,” which is from his forthcoming album, Be Quiet, They’re Listening.
Uffie recalls, “We had such a fun day making ‘Looking Down From Space,’ filled with discussion of space, the world, and trips of the night. I love how this record pulls at your emotional strings, while still being feel-good and having that easy, summer night banger feel.”
OTR says, “There’s a sad and happy balancing act to this track that Uffie and I were able to harness during our session. She came up with the verse line almost immediately and I knew it was special. With that session being our first time ever meeting and me having a huge amount of respect for her, I’m excited we were able to make something unique to the both of us.”
Be Quiet, They’re Listening – the follow-up to OTR’s 2020 debut album, Lost At Midnight – will be released on July 28 via Astralwerks. He’ll support the album with a fall North American headline tour. See below for itinerary. Tickets are available DI SINI.
The album’s title comes from a science fiction short story, inspired by the Fermi paradox, that concerns a transmission headed out into the vast universe and a somewhat mysterious message coming back. Boasting an explosion of dreamy synths and polished percussion, Be Quiet, They’re Listening showcases the scope of emotion as well as meticulous attention to detail that elevate OTR’s work.

About OTR:
OTR crafts loving, buoyant electronic tracks bursting with optimism and catharsis. But the truth is, they are simply an extension of their creator, producer Ryan Chadwick.
For him, making music began as an escape from strange, alienating circumstances, and has since blossomed into a burgeoning career with more than 200 million combined global streams. Educated and trained as an aerospace engineer, Chadwick found himself heading to Japan in 2014 for an internship. It was there that OTR was truly born.
When Chadwick returned to the U.S., music had gone from a casual hobby to a serious pursuit and he was already honing his skills and creating music that millions of listeners would soon discover.
When the pandemic arrived in 2020, OTR signed with the storied electronic label Astralwerks and released his debut album, Lost at Midnight, which earned syncs on a Netflix soundtrack, Forza Horizon 5, and even a Super Bowl commercial.
About Uffie:
Uffie is the project of the globe-trotting artist and fashion icon Anna-Catherine Hartley, formerly signed to Ed Banger Records, where she became acquainted with legendary producers of the early 2000s French electronic music scene. Her first viral hit, “Pop The Glock,” launched her career in the Bloghouse era of dance music.
She collaborated with the French electronic duo Justice on “TThhEe PPaARRtTYY,” which appeared on their GRAMMY®-nominated album Cross in 2007. Her debut album, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans, was nominated at the French Victoires de la Musique for Best Electronic Album in 2010.
She has since collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Charli XCX, Galantis, and Mr. Oizo, to name a few. Uffie returned in 2018 with the single “Drugs” from her EP Tokyo Love Hotel. A muse to the art world, she collaborated with Jam Sutton in 2019 on a marble statue and A.I. experience, accompanied by her track “Ego.”
She is currently writing for other artists, with credits including P!nk/Khalid, Greyson Chance, Blu DeTiger, and VINCINT/Tegan & Sara. Her sophomore full-length, Sunshine Factory, was executive produced by Toro y Moi and released last spring on his label Company Records. Her writing and vocals are featured on The Blessed Madonna’s comeback single, “Serotonin Moonbeams.”
