Hotel Belmar in Costa Rica Celebrates Pride with Year-Long Experiences
(Monteverde, Costa Rica – June 18, 2024) , Hotel Belmar in Costa Rica is thrilled to support and embrace the LGBTQI+ community this summer with its 2024 Live & Proud events.
June 22: The hotel will host an LGBTQI+ workshop titled “LGBTQI+ Social Activism, Empowerment, and Leadership in Rural Communities.” This event will highlight queer movements thriving outside traditional urban centers and include a general presentation on LGBTQI+ history. Additionally, throughout June, 10% of every craft beer sold at Hotel Belmar will be donated to Monteverde Diverso, a local grassroots advocacy non-profit.
Known for its inclusivity and cultural experiences, Hotel Belmar’s artist residency attracts creatives from around the world and all backgrounds to find inspiration in the cloud forests of Monteverde. The hotel organizes LGBTQI+ themed experiences year-round, inviting queer musicians and guest speakers to enrich the Hotel Belmar l'expérience.
Earlier this year, Hotel Belmar partnered with Monteverde Diverso to celebrate the second edition of Monteverde’s Pride parade. The hotel’s onsite bar and brewery, Cerveceria Belmar, celebrated with live music, joining other local events such as outdoor cinema and workshops that engaged families and the LGBTQI+ community.
