The Council of Fashion Designers of America has released the preliminary official New York Fashion Week schedule for the spring 2027 season — and the lineup arrives with both institutional weight and a wave of fresh names making their calendar debuts.
NYFW officially runs from September 10 through September 15, with 70 runway shows and designer presentations confirmed on the schedule. Additional collections will premiere by appointment and digitally.

Opening and Closing Acts
The week opens with a moment of genuine significance. Diane von Furstenberg will kick off the American Collections on September 10 at 9:30 a.m., marking the runway debut of new artistic director and CFDA member Henry Zankov at the helm of the storied house. The week closes with Thom Browne on September 15 at 5 p.m. — a fitting bookend from one of American fashion’s most singular voices.
The Eve of Fashion Week
Before the official calendar even begins, September 9 belongs to a group of names that need no introduction. Ralph Lauren will present his spring 2027 collection the night before the official kick-off. Joining him on the eve of NYFW: Coach, celebrating its 85th anniversary; Rachel Comey, marking her 25th anniversary; Cult Gaia; and Libertine.
The Full Roster
The official schedule reads as a cross-section of American fashion at its most varied — heritage houses alongside emerging independents, established critical favorites alongside first-time calendar entrants.

Scheduling Notes
Several shows are scheduled for the weekend, which may affect attendance: Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on September 11 and ends at nightfall on September 13. The CFDA has also noted that out of respect for the 25th anniversary of September 11, the Friday schedule will begin no earlier than 10 a.m.
Infrastructure and Initiatives
Now in its fifth season, the CFDA NYFW Shuttle presented by Google Shopping will continue to provide logistical support and show-to-show transit, reducing the week’s carbon footprint through group ridesharing.
The CFDA/NYFW Fund, established in 2022, has enabled over 60 international retailers, editors, and media stakeholders to attend NYFW across eight seasons, providing financial and in-kind support that amplifies the American collections on a global stage.
Additionally, following the announcement in September 2025, the CFDA’s fur-free policy takes effect this season for all brands appearing on the Official NYFW Schedule.

The CFDA’s Statement
Joseph Maglieri, CFDA’s Senior Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, framed the season with characteristic directness:
“New York Fashion Week this season returns with creative force and zeal for the spring-summer 2027 collections. As our country celebrates its 250th anniversary, this season represents what makes New York Fashion Week special: its spirit of independence. Our designers carve out their own artistic identity marked by grit, individuality, and resourcefulness. Across emerging designers and heritage brands, the attention on NYFW and American fashion is grounded in embracing who we are without trying or wanting to emulate any other city.”
