“We were working on a new piano-driven track that was sounding good but we felt it needed a vocal. We found this familiar acapella buried deep in some files we had and stuck it in as a temporary place holder. But the uplifting vocal worked so well and when we tested it at some shows it was the song that kept popping up in people’s IG stories. ABOUT SKIITOUR — A fun-loving DJ/production duo from Whistler, Canada are known for their upbeat “feel-good house music that keeps the vibe groovy" (DJ Mag) as well as channeling a retro ski aesthetic.
Their annual high-energy après ski parties 于 Shambhala Music Festival have become legendary and their tracks have been supported by Diplo, 安娜-卢诺, Zedd, 大卫-盖塔, Afrojack, 史蒂夫-青木, JAUZ, 马丁-加里克斯, Martin Solveig, Claptone等等。
滑雪之旅 has accumulated over 6 million plays through streaming platforms and has made Mixmag & DJ Mag’s “Track of the Month” multiple times.
On top of their steady output of productions, they maintain a global touring schedule of 80+ shows per year, including festivals like Shambhala, Burning Man, Chasing Summer, Bass Coast, Snowbombing Canada, 等等。
In the spring of 2022, they set out on a very successful 24-city APRAVÈS TOUR which had sold-out dates across Canada. They also released the single “Double Double” 在 Rock Bottom Records which spent over a month on Beatport Bass House Top 100 图表
The COVID lockdown didn’t slow them down at all. They performed numerous live streams for some of the biggest house music channels (Dirtybird, SpaceYacht, ShambhalaMusicFestival, itsGOODTV) and recently were awarded the coveted Twitch Partner title.
They also released the downtempo “Too Hot Too Cold feat FRASE” which became a Spotify Editorial playlist darling and warranted a remix package. They also released the successful single “Lose Of Heads” 在 Box Of Cat & put out “Rattlesnake” 在 Space Yacht.
SkiiTour started 2019 with a bang, holding onto the #1 song on Beatport Electro House charts with ‘Red Light’ for 5 straight weeks. This collaboration with Marten Hørger became a festival staple worldwide.
SkiiTour’s collaboration with SmallTown DJs & Dances With White Girls "Bad Behaviour” premiered on Diplo & Friends (英国广播公司第一电台) and charted on Beatport after being released by A-Trak's Fool’s Gold Records.
In the summer of 2019 SkiiTour released their underground hit “蓝色的 Caboose” 在 DND Records which spent 3 months 关于 Beatport's Future House charts and became a house anthem for Western Canada.
SkiiTour has recently signed a multi-year endorsement deal with 怪物能源 and was nominated for Electronic & Dance Artist Of The Year 在 2020 BreakOut West Awards. In the spring of 2016, they started up their own record label, Double Black Records.
