COPENHAGEN – CARO Editions, the slow-fashion label founded by Caroline Bille Brahe, presented three spring-summer 2027 collections on Aug. 4 at Hotel Sanders, timed to the Copenhagen Fashion Week calendar. The label showed its mainline CARO Editions collection alongside its two-year-old sister line Caro Editions Classic and a new second collaboration with Danish brand Rains, marking the brand’s continued expansion across price tiers and distribution channels. The presentation ran in two sessions, at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the first day of the week.

“To me, the collection is a metaphor for the creative process itself, where we hope to change and inspire,” Bille Brahe said in the brand’s press release. “Both for us, the team, and for those who meet the garments, and to work with the same material as a base.” The collection, titled “A Room With a View,” draws on the idea of what becomes possible when one sees things from a new angle, per the brand. Photographs by Guy Bourdin served as a key reference for the season.
The mainline collection centers on three fabric groups: transparent layers such as washed devoré and silk organza, fine knits in organic cotton and merino, and a group of sheer, reflective textures developed around liquid fabrics. Tailoring is soft and fluid, with jackets constructed from stretch crepe and dresses built on draped silhouettes and sheer fabric play. The brand describes the palette as “not a color palette” but a natural progression of tones, moving from black and grey to beige, bone, greige and silver.
Caro Editions Classic, positioned as a more accessible tier of the label, focuses on versatile essentials with elevated design details, per the brand. Its new second collaboration with Rains introduces a capsule line, following an initial collaboration between the two houses. The Classic line extends the brand’s entry price point and broadens its reach within its direct-to-consumer distribution.
The presentation at Hotel Sanders, with its view toward the Nyhavn harbor, was produced in collaboration with the venue, and the brand described the showroom setting as an extension of the collection’s theme. Creative and production credits include photography by Josh Goleman, styling by Anna Pesonen, makeup by Tina Mathiesen and hair by Emma Egholm, with production by Sophie Bille Brahe Studio and support from Revere. The brand also confirmed that full lookbooks for the collections are now available to press and buyers.
CARO Editions, founded in 2016, operates as a direct-to-consumer label based in Copenhagen, and the Classic line was introduced in 2024 as a more accessible entry point to the brand. The label has built its distribution on its own e-commerce and select wholesale accounts, with the Rains partnership extending its reach into the Danish outerwear market.
The brand’s slow-fashion positioning, limited production runs and Scandinavian aesthetic continue to differentiate it in the contemporary segment, where it competes with both established labels and emerging direct-to-consumer players. Its presence in the official 哥本哈根时装周 program supports wholesale appointments and press coverage during the sales season.
对于 CARO Editions, the spring-summer 2027 season tests whether the brand can extend its slow-fashion positioning into a broader product architecture, spanning a mainline collection, a more accessible Classic tier and a collaborative capsule with Rains, without diluting its premium identity. It also signals the continued growth of the Danish 时装 ecosystem’s direct-to-consumer labels as they push into new categories and partnerships. Whether the expanded offer converts into orders and commercial traction will become measurable as the collection reaches the market next spring.
