A special award celebrates the designer’s stylistic vision: Mirage, the FW25 Special Events collection, debuts on the runway.
Taormina, July 2025 – On the occasion of the 2025 edition of Taomoda, scheduled in Taormina on July 19, Antonio Riva will be awarded the prestigious Tao Awards for Haute Couture Made in Italy. This award, established to celebrate the creative vision and contributions of couturiers to the Italian fashion scene, will be presented during the final gala of the event. The award is part of a long-standing initiative that promotes the cultural, productive, and symbolic value of 意大利制造 from an international perspective.
Antonio Riva is renowned for his ability to blend sartorial tradition with contemporary language, creating works characterized by architectural volumes, formal rigor, and material refinement. His creations are a benchmark in Italian haute couture and luxury bridal 时装.
"To shape a dress means, for me, to shape an attitude. This recognition is an important signal, not just for my maison, but for the idea of Italian couture that I’ve always aimed to bring to the world,” commented Antonio Riva.
Participation in Taomoda also marks the debut of the new FW25 collection from the Atelier line. Inspired by the leading ladies of classic cinema from the 1940s and 1950s, Mirage explores a sophisticated, multifaceted, and independent femininity. The fabrics, liquid organza, glossy satin, tone-on-tone embroidery, evoke layers to be revealed, illusions at play, and emotional textures that are barely perceptible. The palette moves between black, rosé, and indigo: colors that don’t shout, but tell stories. They speak of mystery, unspoken desires, and whispered truths. The fluid silhouettes, layered volumes, and refined fabrics convey an aesthetic of contrasts and narrative suggestions, true to the Maison’s stylistic identity.
