MUGLER presents on the official calendar as one of fashion’s most futuristic and body-sculpting houses. Founded by Thierry Mugler in 1973, the house built its reputation on exaggerated, hyper-feminine silhouettes — sharply structured shoulders, corseted waists, and a recurring fascination with robotics, insects, and science-fiction imagery that made Mugler’s runway shows among the most theatrically ambitious spectacles of the 1980s and 1990s, dressing icons including Diana Ross and David Bowie while establishing the designer as a genuine multimedia artist working across fashion, photography, and performance. 

After Thierry Mugler’s own departure from ready-to-wear design in the early 2000s to focus on fragrance and other creative pursuits, the house has continued under various creative directors while working to honor his singular, body-architecture-driven design language. Casey Cadwallader, who took over creative direction in 2018, has been widely credited with a significant commercial and cultural revival of the house, translating Mugler’s futuristic body-consciousness into a design vocabulary embraced by a new generation of celebrities and stylists, including a notable resurgence of interest following high-profile red carpet moments. 

For S/S 2027, MUGLER presents on the official Paris calendar continuing Thierry Mugler’s original vision of clothing as body architecture — silhouettes engineered to transform and empower the wearer’s physical presence.
