April 23, 2025 (New York, NY) , Next Friday (May 2nd), Afrobeats record breaker and Platinum selling artist, Rema, will bring his high-energy show to Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show is part of Rema’s current headlining stadium tour dubbed the “HEIS World Tour,” which also includes his headline-grabbing debut at Coachella Music Festival last weekend.
Playing with a live band, the show will be a full production effort with dancers and background singers and feature fan favorites like the multi-platinum hit “Calm Down”, (which features Selena Gomez on the remix); breakout debut single “Dumebi” as well as music from Rema’s critically acclaimed album HEIS for which the singer/producer/performer was nominated for a GRAMMY in the “Best Global Music Album” category.
Rema kicked off the year with undeniable force. He’s released two new songs, including his most recent release, the lilting, guitar-driven “Bout U,” which marries Afrobeats and R&B , expanding on Rema’s drive to not just honor the genre he occupies but continuously evolve it to exciting heights. “Bout U” followed the successful tease and hit of “Baby (Is It A Crime)” featuring the Sade hit from the 90s. It racked up an impressive 43 million streams across platforms, setting the tone for an unstoppable and intentional run. Last month, Rema became the first Afrobeats and Black African artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone, cementing his global presence. With his sights set on some of the world’s most iconic stages this year, Rema is poised for another historic run of live shows.
