ALAINPAUL presents its dance-inspired conceptual unisex ready-to-wear on Thursday’s runway. Designer Alain Paul co-founded the house with his husband, Luis Philippe, in 2023, after a career that included dance training and design roles at Vetements from 2014 to 2017 and at Louis Vuitton under Virgil Abloh from 2018 to 2022 — a background that shows directly in the label’s central preoccupation with clothing as an extension of the moving body. 

The house’s design language treats garments almost architecturally, as structures that extend and articulate the body’s own muscle and movement rather than simply covering it — an asymmetrical viscose gathered dress, a structural hourglass leather top, silhouettes that move between rigid construction and unstructured fluidity within a single look. Alainpaul was named a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2025, a recognition that elevated the house from a niche, insider favorite to one of the names most closely watched on the current Paris independent circuit, alongside fellow LVMH Prize semi-finalist Fidan Novruzova. 

For S/S 2027, ALAINPAUL continues exploring that intersection of dance, architecture, and garment construction — a genuinely collaborative house, co-founded and co-run by a married couple, whose CVs at Vetements and Louis Vuitton give its increasingly ambitious silhouettes real technical weight behind the concept.
