Above & Beyond release ‘Another Breakdown'

Above & Beyond released “Another Breakdown”, the follow-up single from their forthcoming ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 2’ EP.

A euphoric club anthem with classic trance elements, ‘Another Breakdown’ debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 600 celebrations in Mexico City in front of 14,000 people. The glistening synth pads were met with a hands-up moment from the crowd, quickly becoming a well-loved ID for fans.

During a busy year of worldwide shows, including Brazil, Canada, the UK, and the US, the GRAMMY-nominated founders of Anjunabeats have been hard at work in the studio on their next Tranquility Base volume.

The EP series’ name references Above & Beyond’s beloved Tranquility Base alias, which was revered for its contribution to the trance genre, including iconic records such as ‘Surrender’, ‘Oceanic’, and ‘Razorfish’.

Following the enormous success of Volume 1 of the EP series last year, Above & Beyond are back with the second set of five club-dominating instrumental records. The Tranquility Base Vol. 1 EP peaked in the #1 slot on Beatport’s Techno releases chart, with singles ‘Angry JP8’ and ‘500’ both hitting Beatport Trance #1.

Above & Beyond’s “Another Breakdown” is out now, with the full ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 2’ EP dropping on December 6.

Don’t miss Above & Beyond at Dreamstate SoCal on November 23.

Above & Beyond, or Jono, Tony, and Paavo, as they are better known to their legions of fans worldwide, have been at the forefront of electronic dance music for two decades.

Founders of the iconic Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels and hosts of a weekly radio show that reaches millions of dance lovers every Friday (Group Therapy), the trio have earned two GRAMMY™️nominations for anthems ‘Northern Soul’ feat. Richard Bedford and We’re All We Need feat. Zoë Johnston. In 2018, the band’s fourth electronic album, Common Ground, debuted at number three on the Official Billboard Album Chart.

Described by UK music bible Q Magazine as “the world’s biggest cult band,” Above & Beyond’s enviable list of sold-out shows includes headline performances at historic venues like Madison Square Garden, NYC, The Hollywood Bowl, The Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall London, and Red Rocks Amphitheater, as well as record-breaking turnouts for their own festival events on LA’s Huntington Beach and at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State.

Songwriters first, producers second, Above & Beyond’s unwavering commitment to their craft has fuelled a career that many electronic artists today might only dream of: four acclaimed electronic studio albums, 16 compilation albums (Anjunabeats Volume series), two ‘acoustic’ albums, and a stand-alone album for yoga and meditation – not to mention innumerable club cuts and dance remixes.
