Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano (born November 18, 1985, Annapolis, Maryland) is an American fashion designer and CFDA member who first gained attention after winning the fourth season of Project Runway in 2007, becoming the series’ youngest winner. He studied at the Baltimore School for the Arts and interned with Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen in London before launching his eponymous collection at New York Fashion Week in September 2008.

The Christian Siriano collection is known for fantasy evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and tailored sportswear. His designs have been worn by Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Julia Roberts, among many others. Siriano was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2018 for his leading contributions to body diversity on the runway. His work has been featured in museum exhibitions including the MET Costume Institute’s “In America: A Lexicon” (2021), Kensington Palace’s “Crown to Couture,” and a solo retrospective at SCAD titled “Christian Siriano: People Are People.” He has been a CFDA member since 2008 and has presented at NYFW every season since his debut.
