About Amirah
Amirah is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Virginia Beach, VA — the same creative hub that gave rise to icons like Missy Elliott, Pharrell, and Timbaland. A self-described “weird, alt kid,” she grew up playing piano and percussion, inspired by her poet mother to turn her thoughts into songs.
When the world shut down during her eighth-grade year, Amirah began sharing covers and originals on TikTok. In 2021, her soulful rendition of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” went viral with over 11 million views, catching the attention of Grammy-winning producer Mustard, who signed her to his 10 Summers/Interscope Records label just six months later.
