アレキサンダー・マックイーン SS26 キャンペーン
Alexander McQueen’s Spring Summer 2026 campaign arrives as a deliberate provocation against restraint, assembling five women who operate at the intersection of music, fashion, and uncompromising self-expression. Under the creative direction of Seán McGirr, the house has enlisted Grammy-nominated musician Caroline Polachek, Mercury Prize-nominated artist Celeste, punk vocalist Amy Taylor of Amyl and the Sniffers, alongside models Alex Consani and Sora Choi. Each figure embodies what McGirr describes as the house’s “propulsive spirit”—uninhibited, incisive, and fully in command.

A Scorched-Earth Vision

Photographer and director Harley Weir captures the collective against a stark, post-apocalyptic landscape conceived by set designer Shona Heath. Naked branches frame the subjects within a scorched-earth environment that amplifies the collection’s intensity. The imagery foregrounds ultra-low-rise silhouettes from the Spring 2026 runway, including reimagined iterations of the Manta bag, originally introduced in the house’s Spring 2010 Plato’s Atlantis collection. The setting strips away artifice, forcing attention toward the architectural precision of the garments and the unflinching presence of the women wearing them.

The Cultural Currency of the Cast

The selection of talent signals McQueen’s continued investment in figures who shape contemporary culture through force of vision rather than conventional celebrity. Caroline Polachek has established herself as a defining voice in experimental pop, earning Grammy recognition for her production work and collaborations with artists including A.G. Cook, Blood Orange, and Charli XCX. Celeste, nominated for the Mercury Prize, commands attention through a contemporary fusion of soul, jazz, and R&B, most recently demonstrated on her November 2024 album Woman of Faces. Amy Taylor brings the raw kinetic energy of Melbourne’s punk scene as the lyricist and frontwoman of Amyl and the Sniffers.

Models Alex Consani and Sora Choi complete the quintet, representing the next generation of fashion’s editorial and runway vanguard. Together, the group forms what the house identifies as a community driving progressivism in culture—each participant characterized as an “incendiary, uncontainable force” within their respective field.

Seán McGirr’s Continued Evolution

This campaign marks a defining moment in McGirr’s tenure at McQueen, consolidating his approach to casting and narrative construction. The creative director has consistently prioritized subjects who possess what he terms “inherently McQueen” power—capable of translating the house’s historical aggression and romanticism into contemporary terms. The Spring 2026 collection itself, first presented in October 2025, continues McGirr’s investigation of sharp tailoring, deconstructed femininity, and the tension between vulnerability and armor.

The Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2026 collection is available through the house’s official online store and select global retailers. The campaign imagery and the accompanying film, directed by Weir, serve as the primary visual introduction to the season’s key pieces, including the reissued Manta bag and the ultra-low-rise trousers that dominated the runway presentation.
