Afro-Latina Miami Fashion Designer Jessyka Castillo Promotes Mental Health Wellness with New Inclusive FFGAINS Women’s Athleisure Summer Collection
MIAMI – June 17, 2024 – Miami fashion designer Jessyka Castillo is kicking off Summer 2024 with the debut of her new FFGAINS women’s athleisure collection, designed to be both stylish and inclusive, with sizes ranging from X-Small to 3X-Large. The new summer collection will be available for purchase on ShopFFGains.com starting Monday, June 17, 2024.
Inspired by the movement for mental health wellness, Castillo founded Fitness + Financial Gains™ in early 2022 to unite like-minded individuals through movement, exercise, and networking. Since its inception, the brand has evolved into a full-fledged incubator hosting monthly social, fashion, and philanthropic events, alongside a supporting women’s fitness apparel brand, FFGAINS.
The new summer collection features a variety of functional and fitted women’s athleisure apparel, including two-piece skirt sets (with built-in shorts), leggings, one-piece jumpsuits, and short onesies, available in core colors such as white, nude, brown, and black. Additionally, a pop of yellow is included to celebrate summer’s outdoor activities and sunshine.
Designed with versatility in mind, this prominent Miami women’s athleisure collection offers curvy women stylish workout sets that easily transition from a daytime tennis session to a night out in Miami’s Design District. “Key features include a warm color palette to complement all skin tones, four-way stretch, adjustable straps, functional pockets, inclusive sizing, and trendy chic looks,” Castillo explained.
As one of Miami’s leading fashionistas and entrepreneurs, Castillo wears many hats. She is a brand ambassador, influencer, professional host, published curvy runway model featured on Vogue.com, and a computer systems engineer, in addition to being a thriving women’s fashion designer. “I’m grateful and proud to be celebrating two years of Fitness + Financial Gains™ events and one year since launching the athleisure fashion line. There has been significant interest in expanding our events to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach County, and we are actively exploring venues. We have many more events, programs, and fashion collections planned for this Summer and Fall,” Castillo shared.
Based in tropical Miami, Castillo is an advocate for daily movement and exercise to support overall mental health wellness. “MOVE, like your mental health depends on it,” she urges. Castillo’s ultimate goal for the FFGAINS community is “to be in the best physical and financial shape of our lives, together, in community.”
The new FFGAINS Summer collection will feature nine unique women’s athleisure looks that have been best sellers from past collections. These popular sets offer active women a variety of workout options in classic colors like black, white, nude, and brown.
The standout piece from this past year has been the vibrant Miami Yellow Collection, which includes the Crossover Skirt Set and Legging Set. These items will be available for purchase at the brand’s first retail partner, fitness studio MegaLit, located at 3223 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137. Castillo notes that limited quantities will be available in select sizes: “We’re excited to sell FFGAINS athleisure apparel in our first retail store. For this initial collaboration, we will offer select sizes including small, medium, and large at MegaLit. More retail expansions are planned for later this summer,” Castillo said.
