The Cookout presented by Mike’s Amazing returns as NYCWFF’s closing-night celebration. Curated and hosted by FIELDTRIP Chef JJ Johnson alongside iHeart radio personality Angela Yee and EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg, this high-energy rooftop party celebrates Black cuisine as storytelling, creativity, and cultural expression. Dishes from an exceptional lineup of Black chefs and restaurants are paired with unlimited cocktails, beer, and wine. Hip-hop icon Method Man performs live. Participating chefs include Ayo Balogun (Dept of Culture BK), Sumaiya Bangee (Only Goods + Thuluthan), Maria Bido (Mia’s Cocina), Renee Davis (Trini Bites), James Gonzalez (La Fonda NYC), Scotley Innis (Aliya Cocktail Den), Nick Larsen Petrushka Bazin Larsen (Sugar Hill Creamery), Diana Tandia (Berber Street Food), Paola Velez (Bar Providencia), and Marcus Woods (Sylvia’s Restaurant).
