MIU MIU presents on the official calendar as one of the Prada Group’s most culturally dominant contemporary labels. Founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada as a younger, more playful counterpart to her namesake main house, Miu Miu — named after Prada’s own childhood nickname — was conceived from the outset as a space for more experimental, less formally constrained design, distinct in tone and price point from Prada’s more established luxury positioning. 

Under Miuccia Prada’s continued creative direction, Miu Miu has become one of the defining fashion phenomena of the current decade, particularly among a younger customer base drawn to the house’s ironic, intellectually playful take on schoolgirl and preppy references — micro miniskirts, ballet flats, and deliberately “ugly-chic” styling that has repeatedly set major trend cycles across social media. The brand has also built a significant literary and cultural cachet through its Miu Miu Women’s Tales short film series, commissioning female directors to create original short films, reinforcing the house’s positioning at the intersection of fashion, art, and feminist cultural commentary. 

For S/S 2027, MIU MIU presents on the official Paris calendar continuing its remarkable run as one of the industry’s most commercially and culturally potent houses — proof that Miuccia Prada’s decades-old idea of a looser, younger sister label can still define what an entire generation wants to wear.
