LOEWE

LOEWE presents on the official Paris calendar as one of Spain’s oldest and most historically significant leather houses. Founded in Madrid in 1846 by a collective of leather craftsmen, Loewe built its original reputation on exceptional leather goods before evolving into a full luxury house, eventually becoming part of the LVMH group. The house’s centuries-old leather craft heritage has remained a consistent throughline even as its ready-to-wear and creative identity have been repeatedly reinvented by successive creative directors.

Jonathan Anderson served as creative director from 2013 to 2025, a tenure widely credited with transforming Loewe into one of the most critically and commercially successful houses in contemporary fashion — pairing the brand’s leather-goods expertise, including the now-iconic Puzzle and Hammock bags, with a design sensibility that blended conceptual art references, craft-driven texture, and a distinctly intellectual, exhibition-like approach to runway presentation. Anderson departed in 2025 to take the creative reins at Christian Dior, with the house since transitioning to new creative leadership tasked with maintaining Loewe’s now-established reputation for thoughtful, craft-forward luxury.

For S/S 2027, LOEWE presents on the official calendar continuing to build on a nearly 180-year leather heritage — a house whose recent decade of runway ambition has made it one of the most closely watched design laboratories in contemporary Paris fashion.
