H&M is one of the world’s largest fashion retailers, the Swedish fast-fashion giant founded in Västerås in 1947 by Erling Persson, with more than 4,000 stores worldwide. Beyond its core high-street business, H&M is known for its designer collaborations — landmark partnerships with Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, Balmain, Erdem and Rabanne among them — and for its sustainability programmes, including the H&M Foundation’s Global Change Award and the H&M Design Award for emerging fashion graduates. H&M’s presence on the London Fashion Week schedule reflects its growing engagement with the fashion calendar and its platform for designer partnerships. At LFW September 2026, H&M presents a catwalk across menswear and womenswear at 20:00 on Thursday, closing the opening day’s runway programme, by invitation only. The show signals H&M’s deepening relationship with London fashion, and its late-evening slot closes the first day of the SS27 season.
