Chanel launches Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif, a new bold take on its iconic men’s fragrance. Launched in 2010, Bleu de Chanel became a modern classic: clean, versatile, and self-assured. Fifteen years later, the house presents L’Exclusif: a deeper, woodier version that sharpens the original while keeping its DNA intact.

For this campaign, Chanel moves from last year’s big film to a one-on-one conversation between actor Timothée Chalamet and Olivier Polge, Chanel’s master perfumer. The chat delves into how an icon evolves without compromise and gives a rare look into the creation of L’Exclusif.
Polge describes the fragrance as “a more textured, physical Bleu” with dry, mineral cedar and warm amber and a subtle leather note. These elements make a scent that’s grounded and long-lasting but never heavy. Chalamet agrees, calling the cedar note “the part that lingers-quietly confident, never loud”.

L’Exclusif is about the shift in men’s fragrance towards richer, longer-lasting scents that leave an impression without overwhelming. Designed for proximity, not projection, it’s a fragrance to be discovered up close-modern, refined, and very Chanel.
