Girlzluhdev Releases Precise New Project Chilli Mon$Taa

Today, rising Inland Empire rapper GirlzLuhDev shares his silky new record Chilli Mon$taa — listen HERE. Released via Capitol Records, the project is an ideal showcase for the undeniable charisma that has made the 19-year-old artist such a sensation to this point.

Though easygoing — at times seemingly effortless — it reveals an impressive versatility and a depth of wisdom beyond Dev’s years. To accompany Chilli Mon$taaDev releases a slew of visualizers including one for the track Debby Ryan.

Chilli Mon$taa is an unrealistic vibe with a catchy bounce,” Dev says of the project, which is sure to further establish him as one of his generation’s most unmissable talents. “I put a lot of work and precision into making it the type of smooth project you play to enlighten your day and make you feel good.”

Despite his youth, Dev has mastered a list of styles longer than most artists twice his age. Chilli Mon$taa moves seamlessly between the tranquil (“Last Time”) and the pointed (“Legend”), the playful (“Attack Mode”) and the contemplative (“Cold Showers”).

The tape also shows a pen game that is only growing sharper with time. “You might win some, and then lose some,” he raps on the refreshingly straightforward “Conceited.” “You want the whole bag? Or just the breadcrumbs?

With over 96 million streams to date, Dev brings both undeniable technical skills and an overwhelming personality to everything he touches.

The hot streak that began with “Tooka” — the viral hit that launched him to the national stage and landed him a major record deal with over 67 million streams to date — continued with singles like “Top Tier,” “Sorry for Lackin,” “Leg or Arm,” the pounding “Gas Me Up,” and the somber “Dead Bro.” Chilli Mon$taa is simply the latest exhibit in the case of Dev as one of hip-hop’s hottest new talents.

About GirlzLuhDev:

GirlzLuhDev is a rapper, singer, ex-basketball star, and — quite possibly — America’s next great hitmaker. The 19-year-old artist from California’s Inland Empire is a year into making music but has already landed a viral hit, the raunchy but blissed out “Tooka.”

Supported by simple beats and rich keys, he parlays his youthful energy into a bright blend of bars, warbled melodies, and ad-libs that sound like smack talk beamed down from a distant planet. Its sun-baked West Coast street rap meets the wonky charm of a kid with nothing to lose. Signed to Capitol Records, Dev has his sights set on the national spotlight.
