A Name Rooted in Italian Tradition The Borsetto draws its name from a deliberate wordplay: “borsa,” meaning bag, and “morsetto,” the Italian term for Horsebit. The resulting design pays quiet homage to Gucci’s equestrian heritage while presenting a distinctly contemporary silhouette.
Design and Details Constructed from lightweight GG canvas, the Borsetto achieves a rare equilibrium—slouchy in feel yet precisely structured in form. Its interior marks a first for the house: a new lining featuring a diamante motif sourced from Gucci’s archives, adding archival depth to an otherwise streamlined accessory.
