Yolancris was founded in Barcelona in 2005 by sisters Yolanda Pérez (1978) and Cristina Pérez (1979), building on a family heritage dating back to 1985, when their mother Mercedes — a pioneer in dressmaking and the bridal business — introduced her two daughters to the world of sewing; Yolanda opened her first wedding dress store in Sabadell at the age of 20. From their observation and experience, the sisters set out to revolutionise bridal fashion and couture by offering handcrafted designs that transcended the traditional.

Yolancris maintains a team of master seamstresses and artisans who have been with the brand since its inception, passing on their expertise — the concept of “handmade” is, in the house’s own words, “a reality and the house’s philosophy,” carried out in its own atelier in Barcelona and, since mid-2018, from a boutique-showroom as well. The brand has pursued internationalisation since 2005-era expansion and has become a recognised name at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, where it has unveiled collections such as its 2027 “Alter Ego” line. It brings couture-level craft to the Madrid runway.
