CURVE NEW YORK réunit l'industrie du sous-vêtement au Javits Center

New York, NY -The Curve New York trade show brought the world of intimates together with categories including lingerie, swim, and athleisure from over 200+ brands at the Javits Center on August 4-6, 2024. Buyers and industry flocked across coasts this summer to place orders on the industry’s best brands in Spring/Summer 2025 collections. Curve provided retail buyers and industry professionals with opportunities to create new businesses, discover upcoming designers, network, and attend VIP events.

Considered the leading trade show for intimate apparel and swimwear in North America, Curve, a division of Comexposium, is held bi-annually in New York and Los Angeles, as well as annually in Paris with partner show Salon International de la Lingerie. Additionally, a Canadian regional summer show, Curve Montreal, takes place on August 11-12th, 2024. Buyers and Press can register for Curve’s final show in Montréal August 11-12th, 2024 ici.

“Our New York show was an absolute success. It was phenomenal to be in the River Pavilion at the Javits Center once again with many returning brands such as Simone Perele, Aubade, Cosabella, CALIDA, Ana Ono, and many others.” CEO of Comexposium US, Raphael Camp states.

“A great highlight this season was the entrance of our new brands. We introduced over 30 new brands to the Curve show floor this season and have significantly broadened the selection for buyers at Curve shows and will continue to do so. For instance, Maison Louve from France presented an inclusive range of luxury lingerie, with a collection that was colorful and sophisticated while accessory brand, Apeeling showed the growing market of accessories in this world of intimate apparel with its line of pasties and body jewelry. Curve embraces all facets in the world of lingerie and intimates. We take pride in being a premier destination for a diverse and exciting range of options for all our attendees, introducing them to a myriad of brands from across the globe” says Raphael Camp.

“New attractions for our attendees this season included a contest collaboration with London-based show Wonderland featuring a fantastic group of British brands, like Heist, Enerji London and Cottonreal, to name just a few, all joined Curve New York from across the pond! Buyers voted on their favorite of the 10 brands, and the winner will be chosen and awarded a booth at Curve New York in February 2025. The Wonderland collaboration gave exposure to smaller British brands, offering them an opportunity to generate business in America”, mentioned Camp.

Curve New York also presented its first-ever bridal booth highlighting trends for brides from a myriad of its exhibitors, offering perspective of how boutiques can integrate new brands and bridal accessories amidst the upcoming bridal season. Also new to the show floor, a boudoir show featuring burlesque dancer Pearls Daily, who modeled several brands presenting at Curve. The activation provided entertainment while inspiring shop owners on styling tips for frequently shopped items. “While all these new exhibits are entertaining and fascinating, they also do serve higher purposes to continue to engage and inspire our audiences.” Camp remarks.

“Eveden has been a valuable partner at our New York shows presenting daily runways and our Fit School workshops with Freddy Zappe. Our other panels were incredibly innovative, including tips on customer care with a panel of experts in the lingerie field, and inventory planning. This season for the first time, we began Speed Dating between our VIP buyers and selected brands. This allowed our brands to have meaningful conversations and ample networking time with our special buyers.” Camp noted a special appearance that occured at the New York show as well, “We’re especially grateful for the guest appearance of Jos Berry, owner of Concepts Paris who stopped in to host a discussion on industry trends and what will be trending for seasons to come!”

Camp speaks about the notable takeaways from the show. “Buyers priority when they come to Curve is to observe the trends that brands are setting. This season in the Spring/Summer 2025 collections, we saw many neon & bright colors that welcome the eccentricity of the Summer. Buyers will then take these fashion directives back to their stores and relay the trends to their retail shoppers. That’s how it all starts.”
