THE ROW
THE ROW presents its rigorously minimalist ready-to-wear at midday on Wednesday. Founded in 2006 by twin sisters and former child actors Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the house has built its reputation on the opposite of celebrity-fashion spectacle: quiet, exhaustively considered garments in luxurious fabrics, built around clean lines, exacting proportion, and an almost total absence of logo or overt branding. The Row takes its name from London’s Savile Row, a nod to the bespoke tailoring tradition the Olsens have cited as a foundational influence on their approach to fit and construction.
Since its founding, The Row has become one of the most critically respected labels in contemporary fashion specifically because of its refusal to chase trend cycles — the house has won the CFDA’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award multiple times, and its pieces, often priced well into four figures for a single sweater or trouser, have become shorthand within the industry for “quiet luxury” done at its most disciplined and uncompromising. The Olsens rarely give interviews and almost never appear at their own shows, maintaining the same low-key, craft-first ethos that defines the clothes themselves.
For S/S 2027, THE ROW presents on the official Paris calendar continuing nearly two decades of proving that restraint, precision, and fabric quality can carry a house’s entire identity without a single overt embellishment.
