Efraín Mogollón

Efraín Mogollón is a Venezuelan designer whose label, By Efraín Mogollón, is a women’s ready-to-wear house handcrafted in Venezuela. He came to fashion from a background in industrial design, with a specialisation in pattern making and tailoring — a technical grounding that shows in the label’s sculptural, architectural silhouettes, sharp tailoring and contemporary flair. He has been profiled by WWD and has shown during Paris Fashion Week, part of a generation of Venezuelan designers bringing the country’s design to the global stage.

His workshop in Aragua gained wider attention after he repurposed it to produce body bags following the earthquake in Venezuela, a decision widely covered by international media. Public information on the label’s founding date and commercial footprint is limited; coverage focuses on the designer’s technical approach and his international showings. MIAFW 2026 presents an Efraín Mogollón fashion show at 8:30 PM on 17 October at the Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College, closing the Saturday programme.
