Ludovic de Saint Sernin

Ludovic de Saint Sernin is a Paris-based designer who founded his eponymous label in 2017, after two years as an embellishment specialist at Balmain, following internships at Dior and Saint Laurent and a womenswear degree from l’ESAA Duperré. Born in Brussels, he grew up in the Ivory Coast before moving to Paris at the age of seven. The brand represents a return to beauty seen through the lens of sensuality and sexuality, approached with no gender in mind, and has become one of the most visible representatives of the New Queer wave in fashion design and culture.

Nominated for the 2018 edition of the LVMH Prize after only two seasons, the label is known for its signature lace-up leather brief and has shown on both the men’s and women’s official Paris Fashion Week calendars. De Saint Sernin also serves as creative director for the musician Tate McRae. At DFW SS27 the label appears in the showroom programme by appointment rather than on the runway.
