Public School New York Fashion Week – Fall 2026 Ready to Wear Collection

Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are back, and they want you to know it. The duo behind Public School New York staged their return on Wednesday night, confirming months of speculation with a full runway show and a printed headline slipped onto each guest’s seat announcing the brand’s revival.

The seeds were planted last season with a community-focused gathering that had the fashion world buzzing. Now, with a collection titled Everything Is Now, Chow and Osborne are making it official. “That’s how we feel. There’s an urgency to everything happening across the country, and there’s a creative renaissance bubbling up in New York City,” Chow shared ahead of the presentation. “We have something to say again.”

A Refined Point of View

Having navigated the industry through their own label and a tenure leading design at DKNY, the pair brings a seasoned perspective to this next chapter. They’re older, they’ll admit, but that maturity has only sharpened their vision.

“The starting point has always been sophisticated ease,” Chow explained. The brand’s DNA, including tailoring, denim, and sportswear influences, remains intact, but each element has been pushed forward for a new era.

Osborne, whose separate venture Anonlychild was recently named a finalist for the Mode Trust U.S. award, emphasized the duo’s signature tension between polish and nonchalance. “We’ve always played with high and low. A T-shirt paired with tailored trousers. That contrast runs through the entire collection.”

Inside the Collection

The fall 2026 lineup delivered sharp wrap blazers with broadened shoulders, tailoring reimagined through a fluid yet architectural silhouette, and elevated outerwear. Think classic parkas and bombers, with a back-gathered cut for added dimension. One standout bomber featured extra arm openings, turning its sleeves into purely decorative elements.

Leather got an upgrade as well, with richly textured pebbled hides appearing across pants and jackets. The show’s opening look set the tone immediately: a head-to-toe denim ensemble composed of a cropped, boxy jacket over straight-leg jeans, accessorized with a black beret, Moscot frames, and black gloves. It was a nod to what the designers described as “the modern resistance.”

Direct to Consumer, on Their Own Terms

This time around, Chow and Osborne are charting a different path to market. The focus is squarely on direct-to-consumer sales, with plans for a Chelsea pop-up where select pieces from the collection will be available for immediate purchase.

The Crowd Responded

As models walked to a curated soundtrack of classic hip-hop, the audience erupted in cheers, smiles, and pointing, clearly energized by what they saw. The warm reception made one thing abundantly clear: despite the seven-year gap, Public School New York still commands loyalty, and its audience is hungry for what Chow and Osborne are bringing.
