Moncler puts JENNIE in its oldest jacket, the 1954 Karakorum ($3,250), beside Cher and Grace Jones, as Re/Icons grows into skirts, windbreakers and balaclavas

JENNIE Stars in Moncler’s ‘Re/Icons’ Campaign in a Black Karakorum Jacket

JENNIE fronts Moncler’s Re/Icons 2026 campaign in a black Karakorum down jacket and a caramel Tibb gilet. Gabriel Moses photographed and directed the campaign, and the collection went on sale worldwide Thursday. JENNIE shares the JENNIE Moncler Re/Icons campaign with Cher and Grace Jones. Each of the three wears a reissued design from the Moncler archive.

The jacket JENNIE wears has the longest history of any piece in the campaign. Moncler first made the Karakorum in 1954 for the Italian expedition to K2. The 2026 women’s version, a hooded short down jacket, is listed on moncler.com for $3,250 in black and purple.

The Karakorum Puts JENNIE in the 1954 Archive

Moncler’s campaign release places JENNIE at the center of a crowd of faces drawn from around the world. The brand frames that crowd as a picture of her global reach. Moncler said the campaign drew on archive photographs of Lionel Terray, the mountaineer and early Moncler collaborator. The Tibb she wears over the Karakorum is an oversized gilet from the 1980s. Moncler now sells it as a reversible down vest at $2,020.

The brand’s own page for JENNIE calls her a “defining voice of a new generation.” It traces her path from K-pop to fashion and art. Moncler’s release also includes a statement from JENNIE. She said her biggest dream is to keep discovering versions of herself she doesn’t yet know, keep creating freely, and keep dreaming bigger.

Cher and Grace Jones Get Their Own Archive Pieces

Cher wears the Re/Icons Himalaya jacket in white and the Verone jacket in black. With them, she wears a yellow scarf that Moncler links to the Bob Mackie scarf dress she wore on “The Cher Show.” Grace Jones wears the Karakorum in deep purple, which Moncler ties to her work with director Jean-Paul Goude. In her images, lookalikes flank her in her signature makeup.

The casting splits the archive. The two women whose careers began decades before JENNIE’s take the 1980s Verone and the 2009 Himalaya. JENNIE gets the 1954 expedition parka.

Re/Icons 2026 Moves Past the Puffer

This Re/Icons season reissues four archive styles: the Karakorum, the Verone, the Himalaya and the Tibb. Moncler said it is the first time the project extends into ready-to-wear and accessories. The women’s Re/Icons edit on moncler.com lists these prices:

  • Hooded windbreaker: $1,430
  • Reversible wool twill padded midi skirt: $1,430
  • Wool and cashmere balaclava: $625
  • Solix round sunglasses: $585

The project started smaller. Moncler reissued the Maya jacket for its 70th anniversary in 2022. In 2023, it devoted the second Re/Icons chapter to three versions of the Karakorum. The 2026 season turns a yearly jacket reissue into a full Kleiderschrank. The balaclava and sunglasses also give shoppers a way into the line well below the $3,000-plus outerwear.

Where to Buy Re/Icons in New York

Moncler Fifth Avenue got the collection on Oct. 14, a day before the global launch. The store is at 767 Fifth Ave., in the General Motors Building near Central Park. Moncler opened it in September as its largest flagship worldwide, spanning two levels and covering 2,200 square meters (about 23,680 square feet). Moncler said Cher was among the guests at the store’s opening night. Moncler also sells the collection at select stores and on moncler.com.

Putting the house’s oldest design on JENNIE ties the archive to her audience in one image. The question Re/Icons hasn’t faced before this season is whether that audience moves on from the $3,250 parka to a $1,430 padded skirt.
