NYFW-তে Altuzarra Fall-Winter 2026 কালেকশন

Joseph Altuzarra looks to Spain’s rich cultural heritage, from Velázquez to Almodóvar, to craft a collection that is rigorous, passionate, and unapologetically expressive.

In his Fall-Winter 2026 collection, Joseph আলতুজারা continues his exploration of the modern woman’s wardrobe, this time through a distinctly Spanish lens: rigorous, passionate, and unapologetically expressive. Moving between the stark realism of Diego Velázquez and the emotional maximalism of Pedro Almodóvar, the collection embraces contrast, balancing restraint and excess, tradition and provocation. Within this framework, personal style emerges as a form of self-definition, reflecting the layered identities and inner worlds that can coexist within a single woman.

Unexpected Pairings and Deconstructed Silhouettes

Layered, unexpected pairings speak to the instinctual richness of dressing today. Sculptural, statuesque peacoats are set against floor-sweeping flamenco skirts in weightless chiffons and georgettes, capturing both the collection’s gravitas and lightness. Lace blouses with exaggerated cuffs spill out of nubby tweed jackets, worn with knit wrap skirts.

With these unsettling, deconstructed silhouettes, Altuzarra draws on another Spanish influence: Luis Buñuel and the subversive elegance of The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie. Tweed skirts unravel into fringe at the ankle, repeating patterns nod to men’s dressing gowns and ties, and ladylike scarves drape dramatically across the body.

The 1980s, Revisited

Pedro Almodóvar released his first feature film in 1980, and it is the romanticism and emotional richness of that decade that permeates the collection, infusing familiar silhouettes with drama, sensuality, and narrative depth. Outerwear, an ongoing focus for the house, is defined by strong, matador-inspired shoulders. Slinky shirts and dresses are finished with fringed pom-poms draped around the collarbone and shoulders.

A deceptively simple turtleneck reveals a calf-grazing cape at the back, while casual carpenter pant silhouettes are unexpectedly reimagined in ultra-luxurious suede. Elsewhere, a classic turtleneck cleverly converts into a hoodie, reinforcing the collection’s instinct for transformation and surprise.

Color and Print

The moody chiaroscuro of Diego Velázquez and the synthetic vibrance of Pedro Almodóvar together inform the color palette, most vividly expressed through prints. Jewel-toned burgundies sit alongside bright turf greens and pale blues, while soft blush pinks coexist with dark, moody browns and rich fern greens. Among the prints, a fisherman-scarf motif rendered as fish entangled in a net offers a poetic nod to the Balearic seas.

আনুষাঙ্গিক

Utilitarian and expressive, the accessories continue the collection’s exploration of duality and drama. The Tack Trunk, inspired by the equestrian and distinctly bourgeois staple, is designed with an interior suede pouch allowing it to be worn fully open or closed. Other additions include the Cubetto Bag, which collapses softly under the arm, and the Maxi Cubetto, a square handheld bag with an abbreviated bowling silhouette.

The Presentation

দ্য সংগ্রহ will be presented in the Altuzarra showroom, located in the historic Woolworth Building in New York, where the everyday gives way to the theatrical.
