The Superyacht Life Foundation’s awards program will present its Bowsprit awards during the Palm Beach International Boat Show next March, opening a new chapter for an event that has moved between Monaco and the United States since 2023
The Honours is going to Palm Beach. The awards program created by The Superyacht Life Foundation has settled on South Florida for its 2027 edition, which will take place during the معرض بالم بيتش الدولي للقوارب next March. The Foundation presents the event in partnership with PBIBS, and the destination marks a new chapter for a program built on a plain, stubborn idea: the people in yachting matter more than the اليخوت. The 2027 edition will bring together some of the most inspiring figures connected to yachting, in one of the world’s leading يخت فاخر destinations.
That idea has organized the event since it launched in 2023. The Honours celebrates individuals who have used their skills, influence, resources, or connections in yachting to make a meaningful difference beyond the industry. The judging criteria are deliberate. Rather than recognize commercial or professional success on its own, the program weighs the character, purpose, and impact of each honoree’s work.
Nominations for 2027 remain open until Friday, Oct. 9. Three individuals will be selected through an independent judging process, and each will receive the distinctive Bowsprit award at a presentation in Palm Beach in March 2027. The trophy, crafted by Preciosa, takes its name from the spar that carries a vessel’s rigging forward. The Foundation gives it to people who chart new courses across oceans, communities, cultures and causes.
Palm Beach hands the program a natural stage. The boat show has been running since 1982 and now holds a dominant position in South Florida, both as a leader in the boating and marine industry and as an economic engine for the Palm Beach community and the tri-county area around it. The show runs March 17-21 along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach, bringing owners, captains, builders, brokers, and the philanthropic networks that surround them within the same few blocks.
Dilan Sarac, executive director of The Superyacht Life Foundation, said the setting fits what comes next.
“Palm Beach International Boat Show feels like the perfect place for the next chapter of The Honours,” Sarac said. “It has an incredible energy and brings together people from across the international yachting community. We also have something special planned for 2027. We can’t reveal everything just yet, but we’re very excited about what’s to come.”
Andrew Doole, president of Informa, U.S. Boat Shows, framed the partnership as a question of audience.
“We’re proud to support an initiative that brings these stories to a wider audience, and we’re delighted to see The Honours come to Palm Beach in 2027,” Doole said. “It promises to be a very special next chapter.”
The track record behind that promise is specific. Since 2023, The Honours has traveled between Monaco and the United States, gathering stories of ocean conservation, humanitarian action, philanthropy, scientific discovery, sustainability, diversity and leadership. Palm Beach will provide the backdrop for the next three editions.
