This season, the spotlight falls on two distinct expressions of Riviera luxury: Rose Première, a limited-edition collaboration with actress and style icon Kelly Rutherford, and Eau d’Azur, an aromatic fragrance inspired by Mediterranean living.
Both compositions reflect the gender-fluid character of contemporary fine fragrance, inviting wearers to choose a scent based on mood and personal style rather than convention.
Rose Première by Kelly Rutherford
Created in collaboration with Kelly Rutherford, Rose Première is a luminous interpretation of the rose and a personal addition to the Maison Véronique Gabai fragrance collection.
The project extends beyond a traditional celebrity partnership. Rutherford participated in the development process, testing multiple iterations and working alongside Véronique Gabai and perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin to shape the final composition.
At the heart of the fragrance is Rose de Mai from Grasse, harvested during the dewy early mornings of May, when its scent is at its most expressive.
Mandarin, bergamot, and fresh green notes give the opening a bright, sparkling quality. The composition then develops into a radiant rose heart before settling into a warm base of praline, vanilla, amber, musk, and woods.
The result is fresh yet comforting, balancing the rose’s natural elegance with a soft sweetness and lasting warmth. It evokes the feeling of a sunlit escape along the French Riviera without becoming overly traditional or formal.
The collaboration grew out of a friendship between Gabai and Rutherford that spanned more than 15 years. Their shared appreciation for creativity, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and personal expression became the foundation for the fragrance.

Completing the collaboration, Rutherford also reimagined “Le Spritz,” the Maison’s signature necklace, with rose quartz, a symbol of unconditional love and feminine strength.

A signature fragrance in the current Maison Véronique Gabai collection, Eau d’Azur captures the sunshine, sensuality, and relaxed sophistication associated with life along the Côte d’Azur.
The composition combines the crisp freshness of a refined cologne with the depth and persistence of an eau de parfum.
Eau d’Azur opens with Mediterranean citrus notes, including Italian lemon and Paraguayan petitgrain, complemented by the floral brightness of neroli. Lavender recalls the sunlit fields of southern France, while Guatemalan cardamom introduces warmth and a subtle touch of spice.
As the fragrance develops, olibanum, Haitian vetiver, amber, and musk create a smooth and elegant foundation. The drydown is warm, aromatic, and quietly sensual, leaving a luminous trail reminiscent of a coastal breeze at the end of a summer day.
