The Track opens with the sound of a clock ticking the moments away and a childlike voice bidding “good morning.” But the innocent façade is quickly shattered as the voice reveals its identity: a character from your nightmare who wants to “play.”
Fueled by a steady, sizzling beat, big brassy tones and a futuristic blipping melody “Nightmares” is the audio equivalent of a chilling horror film, condensed into less than three minutes. Listen هنا if you dare.
Cloonee says, “Working with Chris was an absolute honor and a huge milestone in my career that I will look back on fondly. It took us a few attempts to land on this record, but I’m incredibly happy that we did as the final result is amazing. It was also nice for Chris to see how a real producer works in the studio ;)”

“Nightmares” comes on the heels of Lake’s “400,” the lead single from the recently released Chapter 3 of the Black Book ID’s series. Download / stream “400” هنا. On May 28 and 29, Lake will play BTB sets with FISHER at their “Under Construction” event at Phoenix Raceway in Arizona. Cloonee will be among the supporting artists at the Memorial Day weekend festivities. The stacked lineup also includes LOCO DICE, Hot Since 82, ANNA, Eli & Fur, Joshwa, Miane and Sosa. Leading UK producer Cloonee took the #1 spot on the Beatport Tech House chart out of the gate with hits like “Be Good To Me” and “Like What.”
After a string of thumping releases on international imprints and via his own CLNE, Cloonee signed to Lake’s Black Book Records, which released the hypnotizing groover “What Ya Want” and the dancefloor shaker “Let’s Rave.” Cloonee kicked off 2021 with festival anthem “Sun Goes Down,” which hit #1 on the Beatport overall chart, and “Mi Amor,” his fiery collaboration with Spanish producer Wade.
“Love You Like That” – his most requested record to date – followed via his own imprint. Cloonee made his North American live debut with the 2021 “Love You Like That Summer US Tour,” playing to sold-out crowds.
