Marci Hopkins: Award-Winning TV Host and Best–Selling Author Gives Back Through Her Story – Join Her Next Week for Her Book Signing Event benefiting Big Vision

Recently, I had the privilege of interviewing Marci Hopkins is an award-winning TV host, creator, and executive producer of the Telly Award-winning talk show, Wake Up with Marci, author of “Chaos to Clarity: Seeing the Signs and Breaking the Cycles” ranked #1 Release on Amazon for 12 Step Recovery and the inventor of GrassCarssentials, a car organizer.

Marci is a fearless voice in television who tackles a wide range of issues on her show, including mental health, women’s health, divorce, addiction, trauma, social impact, wellness, and more. Marci has candid conversations with her guests, with a mission to inspire and empower her audience while spreading hope and happiness. She is a mother of two, philanthropist, sexual abuse survivor, and seven years sober.

Can you share with us your background and your career?

I have always worked in television and have a love for the industry. I worked for FOX Cable Group in Is that gonna be enough food for youOperations, Programming, and Promotions throughout my career. In 2003 I retired as On-Air Promotions Director for FX Networks to pursue life as a mom.

In 2009 I decided to go after a lifelong dream of being in front of the camera. I pursued commercial print and acting. With this experience and my network experience, I felt confident in going after my vision of being a talk show host and making a difference.

Can you share with our readers how you started your company and the mission behind it?

Once I began my healing journey, life began to change for me. I was growing as a person, shifting my mindset, and finding happiness in life. I opened up my mind and began listening to my inner voice, I could not overcome the pull to start a talk show.

Initially, I launched Coffee with Marci, and my mission was to support entrepreneurs and nonprofits in Bergen County, give them a voice, and bring awareness to the community. After a year of helping those in the community, I wanted to do more for others. My life was growing abundantly and was filled with joy!

I wanted others to know they could get through hardships no matter their circumstances and that they were not alone. That is when I launched Wake Up with Marci, a talk show about empowerment and inspiration. It was important for me to share stories of triumph, and provide hope for the viewers.

Wake Up with Marci still has the same mission; I share stories of hope, celebrity inspiration, education, and resources so the audience can put their healing journey and life into action..

Can you talk about your new book and the mission behind it?

My book “Chaos to Clarity: Seeing the Signs and Breaking the Cycles” is an extension of my show mission which is to help others live a fulfilled life, heal, and know it’s possible.

My book is a memoir where I go deep into my story of abuse and addiction, with education weaved throughout to help others understand how abuse and addiction affect our families and us.

I share the despair and the beauty I have discovered through my healing in the 12-Step Program, Seeing the Signs and guidance from the other side, and how I broke generational Cycles.

I offer prompts, reflective work, and action items to help others to move into their happiest lives and have the confidence to know it’s possible while connecting with me and my story.

Chaos to Clarity: Seeing the Signs and Breaking the Cycles

Can you tell us about your upcoming book event and why it’s so important to you?

I am so excited about this event; it’s going to be amazing! I have the opportunity to bring people together for a spectacular afternoon filled with sober fun!

Whether you are sober or not, this event is for everyone. It’s a book signing for my book Chaos to Clarity, which takes place at KYU, 324 Lafayette St., https://www.kyurestaurants.com/location/kyu-nyc/ benefiting Big Vision https://www.bigvision.nyc/, helping sustain recovery through the community for youth in New York City.

There will be delicious bites offered by KYU, bubbling botanicals by De Soi, and Amethyst. There is a $100 ticket price, a donation that will go to Big Vision to support building a new community service.

For a ticket, you will receive a fun afternoon with food and bubbling botanicals, a free signed book, and a goodie bag worth $500. It’s going to be excellent!

The chef at KYU is also practicing sober living, why was it so important for you to find a restaurant with a chef that is?

Braunwynn Wyndham-Burke was a guest on my show and is friends with the chef from KYU. We are all sober, and she believed we could collaborate and bring the two of us together. Chris Arellanes, the chef of KYU, and I hit it off immediately and knew we wanted to make an impact. That is where we came up with the idea for the Book Signing at KYU benefiting Big Vision in NYC.

If you could go back and talk to your younger self what would you tell her and why?

I would tell her everything is going to be ok and you will live that fairy tale life you always dreamed of, filled with love, family, and god.

Are you working on any exciting new projects now?

I have a great upcoming public speaking event with Charles River Labs, speaking on Addiction and the Holidays. I am also preparing for the launch of Carssentials, a sleek car organizer with removable dividers and pockets so you can create your car essentials your way (www.carssentialsorganizer.com)!!

Where do you see yourself and your career going in this new year and in the future?

I will continue to push my message and show how to help as many people as I can, the show is growing nationally, Wake Up just launched in LA, and I hope to get into more markets throughout the country. I would also love to do a TEDx Talk, and one day would love my book to be made into a series or film.

How can our readers connect with you on social media?

I would love for them to join me on Instagram @officialwakeupwithmarci_, Facebook at Wake Up with Marci, and Subscribe on YouTube at Wake Up with Marci. I am providing daily content to educate us all on emotional intelligence, mindset shifts, and positive ways to put our lives into action and live our most joyous lives.
