Fashion week day 1: 50 Shades of Maticevski…
Let’s head to the Barangaroo Reserve in Sydney for the opening of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week by the Macedonian-Australian designer Toni Maticevski. Maticevski is know internationally for putting his creativity into voluminous looks and elaborate gowns. As always his show is one of the most anticipated as they usually involve innovative design, and stunning looks that always give the tone of the season.
This year was no different. To our surprise, his models appeared in origami dresses, ultra high skinny heels walking with grace on a perfectly polished marble runway. To add to it, hey had their hands tied behind their back by encrusted handcuffs and carrying metal balls in their mouth. Maticevski was clearly flirting at the edge between sensuality and pain making us feel mesmerized and chocked at the same time!
What a show!
First day of fashion week was up to our expectations. Can’t wait to see more of what Australian designers have in stock!
