The Super Bowl is as much about the parties as it is about the games, so it was appropriate to party like a legend. The week leading up to the BIG game has been overbooked with VIP events, so it’s more about the art of deciphering the “best of the best” on any given day. Two of the hottest VIP “see and be seen” receptions on Wednesday of Super Bowl week were both held at none other than area car dealerships, one across from the other. Yes, your read it right, they “brought it car dealer strong” at Warren Henry Auto Group with famed coach legend, Don Shula, and friends followed by the Glazer Palooza Kick-off at Prestige Imports hosted by Fox Sports insider, Jay Glazer.
At Warren Henry Auto, VIP guests were in the minority mingling amongst past and present “greats,” while the majority present were former athletes. They even brought the “Heat on” with basketball legend, Alonzo Mourning and properly honored “The Don” in the “Zo Zone.” It was debauchery at its finest with a Chateaubriand carving station, decadent sides to include lobster mac and even a raw bar, all graciously hosted by Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. In another corner, you could find Divieto dishing out tastings of their truffle mushroom risotto, while other sponsors lightened it up with ceviche and ahi tuna taco lettuce cups. The night was sweetened with a mini bundt station by Nothing Bundt Cakes and a selection of dairy-free ice cream by No Bull – Dairy Free. Of course, it was cocktails galore with open bar. The only thing that stood out as odd was that Shula has his own steakhouse empire, but Ruth’s Chris represented. There are no complaints here. I love you both… But just sayin’. And just when you thought you were closing out the eve, it was time to cross the street to a supercar paradise for Super Bowl Wednesday Night Party Round II.
While Warren Henry kept it elegant and very exclusive, Prestige Imports converted it’s North Miami lot into a hot South Beach nightclub for the evening. And don’t think you could just finesse your way past these ropes… Even the valet interrogated arriving guests with bold, demanding statements like, “Are you sure you’re on the guest list before we take your car away?!” Confidence prevails though and I’m always certain, so “YUP!”
The red carpet was surrounded by supercars that lead to the front entrance adorn by more supercars, striking ostentatious poses with their gull wings provocatively and pompously spread wide open. This spectacle purposefully directed guests straight to the open bar sponsored by Tito’s Vodka, Ovation and Fiji Water, which then opened to a vast party space with servers passing trays of elevated “baller” food like burger sliders, ceviche spoons, bruschetta, brisket + slaw sliders and mac n’ cheese poppers by STK Miami. The room was strewn with high-top tables for guests to engage one another and share notes, while others shopped through a silent auction of sports memorabilia, get-aways, serious bling and more before the evening progressed to late night nightclubbing in roped off areas lined with players, celebs and fans alike partaking in VIP bottle service. This 12th Annual Kick-off reception to raise awareness for Glazer’s upcoming main event to benefit and create attention for his two selected charities: MVP (Merging Vets and Players) and Ride 2 Revive was a Hail Mary turned TOUCHDOWN!
