Summer Getaway Series – The Tennessean Hotel, Knoxville, Tennessee
The Tennessean Hotel, Knoxville
Situated on the grounds of the iconic World’s Fair Park and steps from the banks of the Tennessee River, The Tennessean Hotel is proud to officially unveil Maker Exchange this summer – a gathering space, artistic showcase and culinary scene designed to highlight and embrace Knoxville’s creative maker community. This opening marks a major revitalization of this destination which was originally built for the 1982 World’s Fair – ideal timing as Knoxville celebrates the 40th anniversary of the World’s Fair this year. Curated in partnership with the Knoxville Dogwood Arts Alliance, Maker Exchange is a unique hub providing a point of connection for Knoxville’s makers, locals who support them and also want to enjoy a great cup of coffee, spirits or meal, and hotel guests who are drawn to the work on display (all of which can be purchased). With industrial-style doors opening onto World’s Fair Park, the new Park Tavern at Maker Exchange serves up inventive flavors from Chef Robert Hoffman for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Happy Hour.
The perfect urban escape for visitors enjoying the nearby Smoky Mountains, The Tennessean gracious staff welcomes guests to 82 opulent guestrooms and suites steeped in southern hospitality with unexpected amenities including Butler Service, customized Concierge offerings, and the only Tea Service tradition in the region. Visit The Tennessean Hotel website for upcoming tea service events.
