Covid-19 managed to take all of major sports off the field, at least for a bit, but there are more sport related aspects that have been affected as well. While the pandemic caused a brief delay in the publishing of the Swimsuit Issue, it will be in-home and on newsstands Tuesday, July 21st, with daily updates and features available at swimsuit.si.com.

Instead of having one cover featuring one model for this the 58th installment of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, this groundbreaking edition features three models photographed in Bali, Indonesia by longtime Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photographer, Yu Tsai. The cover models Olivia Culpo, Jasmine Sanders, and Kate Bock are all beautiful, independent women.

Before Kate Bock was featured the first time in the magazine nine years ago, she remembers getting the call telling her she’d be featured. Bock recalls pulling her car over and screaming in joy and shock with her family.

Now featured on the cover, Bock gives input to the magazine in their boardroom. An advocate for mental wellness, Bock always tries to incorporate that level of philanthropy in everything she does.

Jasmine Sanders started modeling at the age of 13. Just last year, she was featured for the first time in the Swimsuit Issue after being shot in Costa Rica. After speaking on panels last year, Sanders made a splash in readers’ minds and is now on the cover.

Using her platform of 4 million followers on her social media pages, Sanders is a steadfast supporter of human rights and social justice.

Olivia Culpo is an incredible woman in her own right. After being featured in the 2018 issue, Culpo used her platform for good as well.

More recently, in direct response to the Covid-19 pandemic, she used her following to promote her “More Than A Mask” fashion mask company that provides fashionable face coverings. 100% of the proceeds go towards the Feeding America charity.

The 2020 Issue celebrates 33 diverse, powerful and beautiful women, including Former Cover Models Camille Kostek and Danielle Herrington, Halima Aden, Josephine Skriver, Hunter McGrady, Kelsey Merritt, Valentina Sampaio, Caroline Marks and more.

Not only are the women featured in this edition incredible, but the magazine has decided to also implement and feature their first transgender model.
