NEW YORK EXHIBITIONS OPENED TO THE PUBLIC THIS THURSDAY, 30 NOVEMBER
WHAT: On the evening of November 29th, Sotheby’s teamed up with Oscar de la Renta to host an exclusive dinner and exhibition preview celebrating A Life of Luxury: an inaugural week of sales and events during which Sotheby’s will offer the very best in jewelry, watches, cars, wine and fashion – just in time for the holidays.
Guests began the evening with a champagne preview of Couture Fashion Jewellery: The Personal Archive of Shaun Leane, featuring 30+ sculptural jewels created by Shaun Leane for the runway shows of Alexander McQueen. Dinner was served in Sotheby’s celebrated 10th floor galleries, among the exhibitions of Magnificent Jewels, Important Watches and RM Sotheby’s Icons (rare automobiles).
The dinner continued a collaboration between Sotheby’s and Oscar de la Renta that began this September, when Oscar de la Renta hosted their Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show in Sotheby’s New York galleries.
Hosts Oscar de la Renta Creative Directors’ Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, Sales Director of Sotheby’s Luxury Division, Frank Everett, and RM Sotheby’s Chief Marketing Officer Ian Kelleher, with their guests Alexander Lytton Bolen and Eliza Bolen, Martha Stewart, Nicky Hilton, Shaun Leane, Kerry Taylor, Shiona Turini, Leslie Hammons, Julia Gall, Cristina Ehrlich, Erik Madigan Heck and Brianna Killion Heck, Seth Herzog and Hitha Herzog.

FIRST COURSE: Autumn salad with fresh figs, blue cheese, arugula and sunflower oil vinaigrette.
MAIN COURSE: Colorado lamb chops with mint chimichurri, carrot flan, and haricots verts bundle or Sea bass with zucchini, eggplant and tomato ratatouille with haricots verts bundle.
DESSERT: Coconut and sour cherry cake. Assorted petit fours.
