SATELLITE ART FAIR – MIAMI ART WEEK’S BEST PICTURE
If all the fairs during this past Miami Art Week | Art Basel Miami Beach were up for an Oscar(R), the Satellite Art Fair would at least be a Best Picture nominee. Satellite took place in a giant new coworking space in the heart of Wynwood. Voted Best Art Fair Miami 2019 by the Miami New Times, this season’s fair produced new adventures around every corner with everything packed with a punch!
Upon entrance, spectators were greeted by a giant inflatable Trump rat which also conveniently served as the building’s temporary dumpster. Once you enter the fair, attendees were mesmerized by the colorful assortment of immersive exhibition choices.
Standout experiences include a real live Chicano tattoo parlor by Bushwick, Brooklyn-based artist Jon Gomez, an experience where visitors became the art.
Viewers were instantly drawn to Julia Sinelikova aka Oracle’s all metallic room “Fairy Organ Realm.”
Holly Danger’s 3D mapped projection lounge provided visitors with a zen-like atmosphere that invited guests to “Let in, Let Go” by laying down on fluffy cushions, looking up at the ceiling, and getting mesmerized by the flashing visuals.
Gallery Sensei may have provided the biggest shock and laugh with an Adults Only porno shop with a glory hole experience.
Artist Kyle Heinly, who lives with cerebral palsy, welcomed spectators into his imaginary world where art is used as therapy. Festival sponsor Winso Sake Wine provided by Eli Lunzer Productions commissioned Kyle to do a branded activation.
City of Miami Beach Vice Mayor Michael Gongora presented founder Brian Whiteley and the Satellite Art Show team with a City Proclamation for its achievement in expanding perceptions on art and community and for providing an inclusive environment for guests to feel comfortable in exploration and discovery.
Disruptive | Inclusive | Immersive with good vibes all around, Satellite Art Fair delivered authentic, raw, edgy, works that fascinate the cool and cultured, who truly appreciate art. If you still haven’t made it to Satellite, you should have major FOMO. Add this to your Must Attend list next year.

SATELLITE’S DRINK DISCOVERIES
Miami Art Week is not only about becoming inspired by thought-provoking art, conversing with interesting artists, attending hot parties, and exploring new experiences, it is also about discovering new brands – sponsors that provide fiscal backing and product exposure that help bring the party to life. This year, Satellite Art Fair also stood out because it introduced us to some impressive new liquors and beverages that resonated with us:
1. ZYR VODKA –
Distributed by Symphony Importers, ZYR Russian Vodka is the single highest rated vodka from every major reviewer, achieving a Perfect 100 from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. ZYR, ZYR – where have you been and where can we get you? Move over Belvedere, Grey Goose, and Russian Standard. ZYR is the smoothest, cleanest tasting vodka that personifies Quality.
2. Topo Chico SPARKLING WATER
Topo Chico is the new high-end sparkling mineral water from Mexico that is exploding on to the US market. Just as it tastes refreshing, bubbly, and satisfying alone, it can be used as an excellent mixer as well.
3. WHITLEY NEILL GINS –
Also, from Symphony Importers, Whitley Neill Gins offers a variety of flavors- Rhubarb + Ginger, Blood Orange, Quince + Small Batch. However, the runaway hit at the sampling station was the green Quince flavor. Connoisseurs kept coming back for more.
4. WINSO SAKE WINE
Part wine, part sake, low in calories, and high in alcohol – all packaged in a Sexy bottle. This unique liquor is a hit at all the parties, especially for those who crave something new.
5. WODKA VODKA
Besides its catchy name, Wodka Vodka caught our attention at the bar with its simple, honest good taste and affordable price point. Best value for your wallet.
6. TROPICALIA CACHACA
As Vodka is to Russia and Tequila is to Mexico, Cachaca is to Brazil. Embodying Brazilian soul, Tropicalia is 100% organic. Enjoy this sugarcane based national liquor brand to complement any frugal attempts at caipirinhas.
7. HARLESTON GREEN SCOTCH WHISKY
A highly recommended blended scotch from Scotland with 40% alcohol that goes down smooth, especially after hours of running around Basel. Enjoy in cocktails such as Whisky + Soda or simply on the rocks.
8. WHITE LABEL YERBA MATE SODA
A highly revitalizing and lightly sweetened natural soda that refreshingly complements vodka, rum, and tequila. It’s unique profile flavor makes it also enjoyable on its own.
9. VEZA SUR BREWING
Kegs were flowing compliments of Miami-born Veza Sur Brewing. From providing flavorful Craft Lagers and IPAs to Sours, Veza Sur stays true to their Latin American roots embodying Cerveza Artesanal.
10. LIQUID DEATH
Liquid Death Spring Water comes direct from an underground mountain spring direct into air-tight cans that maintain 100% of the mineral profile.
