Pink Luminous Advocacy Project Hosted Light Up The Night Concert In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, the Pink Luminous Advocacy Project hosted an exclusive Light Up The Night Concert on October 19th featuring not only live music by candlelight from a four-string quartet, but also an open bar, appetizers, and a light dinner including two filet mignon carving stations.

Spectacular pieces of art by world-renowned artists were auctioned off and Parfums de Marily hosted a pop-up shop during the evening to raise funds for this incredible cause.

The event benefited the Pink Luminous Advocacy Project, a nonprofit distributing preliminary screening tools that can help in identifying possible breast abnormalities to women living in financially challenged communities, and Baptist Health Foundation, a not-for-profit organization providing outstanding patient care.

Dr. John Diaz, Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at the Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health, and Marilyn Dans, the Founder of both SilkProUSA and Pink Luminous Breast, spoke about the revolutionary technology behind the new Pink Luminous Breast.

Philanthropist, broadcast journalist, soon-to-be published author, mentor, and motivational speaker Tracy Mourning was the master of ceremonies.

Pink Luminous Advocacy Project aims to educate everyone on the need to be proactive with their breast health by promoting awareness, prevention, and early detection.

Pink Luminous Advocacy Project is enabling women to monitor their breast health at home by distributing preliminary screening tools that can help in identifying possible breast abnormalities to women living in financially challenged communities,, where the resources for mammograms are not easily accessible.

Every twelve minutes a woman dies from breast cancer. Early detection is key to surviving this heartbreaking disease. For Founder Marilyn Dans, Pink Luminous Breast is not only a tool but also a passion project, inspired by her own experiences.

At age 17, Dans underwent a life-changing lumpectomy followed by a biopsy and surgery to remove the mass. Her advocacy work with the Pink Luminous Advocacy Project is heavily inspired by her and her family’s own experiences during that time.

Today, as a community leader, Dans is fully committed to using both her voice and her experience to empower others to live a healthier life and to be in tune with their bodies. Proceeds of LIGHT UP THE NIGHT CONCERT with Pink Luminous Breast benefited Pink Luminous Advocacy Project and Baptist Health Foundation.
