The 88th Oscars Academy Awards ceremony presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, honored the best films of 2015. Place was Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles and there was a total of 24 categories.

What an incredible night of amazing cinematic moments along with stunning fashion and beauty at the 88th Academy Awards show in Hollywood.

Leonardo DiCaprio took home Oscar gold while millions around the world tuned into see The Revenant star finally get his due. Brie Larson draped in bright blue Gucci gown with an elegant ruffled train, took home the Oscar for Best Actress in Room.

Chris Rock didn’t waste any time as host of the long televised event, killing it in his opening, blistering monologue. Rock delivered joke after joke, jumping into the delicate dance around the Oscar race diversity controversy and the need for opportunity for black actors.

It was a glorious evening of Hollywood glamour, where statuesque stars like Charlize Theron stood out in plunging red Dior Haute couture, and purple reigned supreme with Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta, Naomi Watts in Armani Prive and Tina Fey in Atelier Versace.

Oscars beauty featured unfussy, pretty center-parted hair like that of Jennifer Lawrence, Heidi Klum and Julianne Moore, or the styles showed off elaborate, slick-backed updos on that of Rooney Mara and Daisy Riddley. A few, high-glam ponytails also made their red carpet presence on the sexy heads of Priyanka Chopra and Sofia Vergara.

Even the standard Oscars menswear featured tuxedo trends in handsome texture and color. Eddie Redmayne cut a distinguished figure in a velvet tux by Alexander McQueen. Leo kept it handsomely classic in Giorgio Armani Made to Measure. Dev Patel wore elegant navy by Burberry and Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling stepped into flawless Gucci tuxes.

The Academy Awards After Parties allowed everyone to let their hair down and then some. Gwen Stefani did not disappoint, strolling arm-in-arm with Blake Shelton into the Vanity Fair gala wrapped in basically an almost all sheer, red Yanina Couture floral gown. Mariah Carey kept it diva-classy in a black, one-shouldered Brandon Maxwell gown with multiple diamonds and Jessica Alba wowed in a 70s white jersey Roberto Cavalli gown with wide black belt.

Hollywood’s biggest event, Oscars 2016, was quite a night to remember!
